I don’t usually share much about my journey with MND/ALS bulbar, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Apex Neuro. I was diagnosed in July 2024 and given just two years to live, which felt devastating. However, after hearing about Apex Neuro through various famous athletes with ALS/MND, I decided to reach out, and I’m so glad I did.

From my first consultation in September, I instantly felt a shift. The team at Apex Neuro combines scientific methods with genuine warmth that makes you feel valued. Their approach makes sense; it’s clear that they know their stuff. Sarah, who is pursuing a PhD in this field, exemplifies their commitment to understanding neurological conditions deeply. Rob also knows a thing or two about how to build and preserve muscle, which is crucial for anyone facing these challenges with MND/ALS.

What truly sets them apart is their empathy. Both Sarah and Rob have personal experiences with similar challenges, which allows them to connect with patients on a deeper level. They understand the emotional and physical struggles, and their support makes a world of difference.

I also appreciate how they stress the importance of patient commitment. They encourage you to take an active role in your recovery through exercises and lifestyle changes, reminding me that my efforts can significantly impact my well-being.

After my visits in September and November, I noticed real improvements in how I felt. Their methods go beyond just treatment; they provide hope and tools to manage my condition effectively.

I am incredibly grateful to the team at Apex Neuro for giving me hope when I thought all was lost. They are truly changing lives, and I am thankful to have found them.

Rob and Sarah are so approachable and knowledgable. My daughter suffers with body wide chronic pain and they not only provide great knowledge and understanding but have looked into treatments that others have had to see what would be best for her. They put her at her ease straight away and of course we have to mention the amazing four legged cheer leader. We are really hopefully for the weeks to come.

The instagram account is very helpful. I rang Sarah to speak about the treatments available and within a couple of days I had had a telephone consultation and advice about making an appointment. She was very nice and informative.

I had my introductory session yesterday and within minutes of meeting rob&sarah felt so at ease. They were full of information that the NHS just didn’t have and talked me through each step (literally) of the process. I have hope for the first time in years and their confidence made the anxiety of what could be coming in the future completely fade away. Can’t wait to see what the next few weeks holds on the road to recovery.

I do everything I can to reverse this soul destroying condition but this is a game changer! It’s given me real hope that one day I can function normally again! Overjoyed is an understatement.

Being diagnosed in 2021 after catastrophic sideaffects of Astrazenica vaccine, which has caused MND in the form of progressive bulbar palsy, has been devastating and the hardest 3 years of my life , the NHS told me to go home and sort my finances out there is nothing they can do for me accept palative care.

So the research started and I have tried loads of alternative therapies but now I have found these 2 amazing, intligent, caring human beings, I know I am in the right place to get the help I need.

There are no false promises, only the promise to work with me to help with some of my most concerning symptoms. Sarah and Rob advised that they can help work on my swallowing to hopefully improve this area, which is beyond my wildest dreams as I am now feeding via a feeding tube.

After 3 sessions, I have improvements from several awful symptoms :-)
1) A nerve in my face is now, no longer pulling, making my top lip snarl, it feels normal after 3 long years.
2) My top lip is moving, it's weak but it now moves. 3)My ability to deep breathe has improved.
4) The pain inbetween my shoulder blades has improved .
5) my Saliva flow has reduced , I no longer sit with a tea towel on my chest catching the drips .

I am very hopeful that they will continue to improve and will make my life more bearable.

I was diagnosed with FND 4 years ago, it took my confidence, my independence & the person I was. I have always been determined but more recently after being told if my falls and way of life continued then the only way forward was to be in a wheel chair. At 31 years old with 2 young children & a partner I was struggling to be the mum & fiancee I wanted to be. Apex were recommended to me through a friend who's family use them. At first I was very sceptical, for 4 years I've been told by numerous neurologists that nothing can be done so how was it going to change?! I had a phonecall with Sarah who has the patience of a saint & just a few weeks later I started.

All I have to say is WOW I wish I'd have found Sarah & Rob sooner, their knowledge, patience, caring way and all round approach made me feel very comfortable & confident that something could change. Just a couple of sessions in my seizures have reduced, my pain has gone & my abilities are already so much more.

Had a great experience getting to learn more about the electrical stimulation as I’m looking to implement it in my own practice in the future. Got a treatment simultaneously and had great results with that as well! Specifically I had great results with my hamstring which has been hurting and not contracting fully after a hamstring strain a couple of years ago.

Absolutely amazing, i had read a lot of positive things about the Neubie, but it was the skill of the practitioner that helped 👍. It was only my first appointment so can’t wait for future appointments.

My husband and I visited Sarah and Rob back in March, and we immediately felt at home in their presence. We travelled from Exeter to see them, so chose to do an intensive course of treatment over 5 days, and aside from laughing and chatting like we were old friends, their knowledge, patience, and expertise in what they do is second to none. Pete was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease back in Nov 22, and has had a steady decline in symptoms since then. The work of Sarah and Rob has restored our hope and determination to fight this disease. Pete had, and has continued to have improvements since his treatment. Something we didn’t think was possible. We visited with open minds and we got better results than we imagined. Can’t wait to visit again next month!

Having Primary Progressive MS, I’m often told by health professionals that my mobility will continue to decline and the best I can hope for is to remain stable. But Rob and Sarah showed me that I can regain mobility. They treated me like an athlete, not a patient, and inspired me to work harder and push myself.

I went to Apex for an intensive 5 day package and my mobility improved more in that time than I thought possible. With their Neufit technology I was able to lift my legs and feel the sensation of walking normally, something I haven’t done in years. In less than a week, my speed improved and I was able to lift my legs much more easily.

I would highly recommend Apex to anybody with a neurological condition, especially those who have been told that their mobility won’t improve.

Rob and Sarah at Apex are more than just the equipment they use , they genuinely listen and adapt as we all work towards improvements small or large ! Just had my second session with Apex neuro . I feel Rob and Sarah have helped me so very quickly with their neuro therapy program. Before my sessions I had very little movement in my legs and feet due to my MND condition. Now I can wiggle toes and lift both legs to a certain level which I find amazing. Also I find Rob and Sarah are very knowledgeable about my condition which benefits me with every session . Look forward to my next session ,and I truly can not thank them enough especially with their passion and commitment to helping people like myself .
