I’m happy to update the review to reflect that the team contacted me and the matter has now been resolved

I was a member at Anytime Fitness Hornchurch for over two years and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience during the recent power outage at the club.
For a prolonged period the gym was unable to operate normally and lost its 24-hour access, which is one of the main reasons people choose Anytime Fitness in the first place. During this time, members received multiple updates stating that the issue would be resolved “imminently,” yet the repairs were repeatedly postponed and normal service was not restored for quite some time.
Because of my work schedule I rely heavily on 24-hour gym access, so during this period I was effectively unable to use the facility I was paying for.
What made the situation particularly frustrating was the lack of communication when trying to resolve the issue. I had to send several emails and follow-ups before receiving any meaningful response regarding my membership and compensation. As someone who had been a loyal member at Anytime Fitness Hornchurch for over two years, it was disappointing to feel that my concerns were not being taken seriously.
Eventually my membership was cancelled and the compensation offered for the disruption was £10, despite the length of time the gym was operating without its normal service.
I understand that unexpected technical problems can happen, but the repeated postponements, slow responses, and the overall handling of the situation were very disappointing. When members are paying for a 24-hour gym and that service becomes unavailable for an extended period, clearer communication and more appropriate compensation would be expected.

I have recently joined Anytime Fitness in Acton Central. It is a great gym, all brand new instruments, nice and clean, private showers, very economical, 24/7 accessible. Very helpful staff. I recommend it to anyone living in the area to join this gym and enjoy exercising there. Saeed Moharrami / Acton London

Machine availability good when I am there in day time.
Clean toilet area.

Can we have tea machine?
Can heavy weights be put back so smaller people dont have to ask staff to change them?

The gym is very clean……the instructors are superb, everybody looks out for everybody 👌🏾

High quality equipement and a very packed lessons schedule. Everything looks clean and well maintained.

Mike is the best! Not so familiar with the newer team members as I’ve only just come back after being a former member for about 10years.
All I can say is - great place to train, friendly people and can just get on and do your thing.

I would probably rate the experience 4.5. The gym is very clean, new, well equipped, not too crowded and the offering is nice and simple with using the app to gain access etc. On the downside there is no room for classes so it is just machines, weights etc. however it’s good value for money and everything works well.

The staff were excellent; professional and helpful. Great facilities from equipment to showers. Even the lockers are top notch! The one piece of equipment that would top things off would be a speed ball platform (🙏😊). Can’t recommend highly enough

The gym is great, staff great, but a few cracks showing already. Cleaning seems sporadic, and on a few occasions no toilet roll left. Aside from that it's great. It's new so probably just teething issues, would soon recommend

Have an on going dispute with anytime fitness Felixstowe, they tried to take extra money out of my account without giving me the minimum lawful 10 working days notice, causing my account to go into overdraft causing me to get charged etc, I spoke to my bank who told me they was in breach of the direct debit gurantee and refunded me my money, I then on the spot cancelled my gym membership and within 6 mins of posting my review the gym owner called me asking about the review etc, we had a discussion and he agreed to have me pay this months fee at the old price and then call it quits, however I have been very unwell as I have told him and today I’m received text messages from the gym saying I now have late charges, this is all because of THEIR mistake taking more money than they was entitled to, I’m sick of gyms like this robbing people of their hard earned cash because they gym is failing in terms of the kit and members etc!!!

Anytime Fitness BORDON, Hampshire. Very unhappy with this facility, the way that administration and fee processing, notice/freezes, are run. The total result is that you just feel they are "chasing money" and not customer care at all. Do not recommend, go to the local leisure centre, unless you particularly want to use a gym at 1am!

Contract traps, make this an awful/consumer affairs borderline dodgy experience all round, you cannot give notice until outside of a freeze, yet the freeze day is the DD payment day, so you are trapped and obliged to pay an extra month. The day you are told you are supposed to give notice, you actually can't its a loop and you are contractually stuck!

Vulnerable young people who don't understand the contract terms or even read them get stuck and the whole sales approach is to get you into longer contracts than you need. AVOID!

Excellent gym with great equipment and great staff. Highly recommended for a great workout and also does lots of fitness classes to choose from!

Friendly staff, decent selection of equipment and parking. Reasonably priced. 24hr.

I am grateful to the management and staff of the club for the cleanliness, air conditioning, excellent environment, and professional and healthy equipment.

Paid extra money for first month to get the key fob to get into the gym, says go into the gym through staffed hours- been there 6 times with no answer at the door or phone, been 2 weeks and I’m still not able to even get into the gym

The Gym is clean and tidy and has a good vibe and atmosphere to it. Its the first gym in a long time that i dont mind going to. Its basic and compact but it has everything i need for basic excercise. Staff are nice and friendly and helpful and location is good for me. Parking can be challenging but the gym is not responsible for that. Good experience so far
