The American Massage Therapy Association is the largest non-profit, professional association serving massage therapists, massage students and massage schools. We are guided by a volunteer national Board of Directors who sets the course for the association. As a member-driven organization, we are constantly in conversation with our members through surveys, phone calls, emails and social media to understand the diverse needs of all of our members and their hopes for the profession. We advocate for the issues important to massage therapists across the country at the federal, state and local levels of government. We promote the health benefits of massage to the public, the health care community and other important groups. AMTA provides its members with the strongest benefits in the massage therapy profession and has been serving our community for over 75 years.

Shirley is the Best

I just got off the phone with Shirley. And My God is she great! I had a dozen questions and she was able to handle em all. She even k ew exactly how to guide me around the AMTA website. Would ya believe I've been a member for about 10 years now and barely ever used the site?! Thank you, Shirley for helping me to help other LMTs!

Recently I had the distinct pleasure of speaking with both Shirley McCarty and Andrea who were very helpful and so kind in my inquiry regarding Ceu Seminars. Since I more recently located to the Philadelphia area and they were both quite helpful in assisting me. Would recommend highly 🙂

Renew Relax Repeat

The cost of the course offered and the location. The experience was beyond what I ever expected. 15 years licensed this last CEU session with amta was amazing!
