Extremely Slow, Poor Communication, and Unreasonably High Fees.

I had a very frustrating experience with Amity Law. Their communication was poor and the entire process moved at an unacceptably slow pace.
My first transaction with them had to be withdrawn after we discovered high service charges during enquiries. When I returned with a new property, their quoted fees went up significantly. On top of the higher quote, they caused severe delays and immense stress by making unreasonable demands, such as requiring 4 years' worth of bank statements for source of funds checks-far beyond standard requirements.
Due to the lack of responsiveness, extreme delays, and escalating costs, I had to ask them to close my case and switch to a different conveyancer. Switching away made me realize how efficient and supportive home buying service should actually be.

Unbelievably awful

I have bought and sold a number of properties in my life, this firm is by far the worst I have ever had the misfortune to encounter.

I can’t impress enough how much stress and miserly this firm caused to everyone. Without me getting hold of the matter everyone’s sale and purchase would have collapsed.

This was a short uncomplicated chain. However, this firm took more than 7 months just to deal with basic enquiries. From my perspective, they missed matters that should have been resolved months before, significantly delayed the transaction, gave poor advice (which almost lead to the sale collapsing), repeatedly asked the same questions that had already been answered, were constant blockers and engaged in internal email tennis, rather than pick up the phone to resolve matters.

My view, is that if you want stress and an exceptionally poor experience then this is the firm for you. If however you want a speedy, smooth and stress free transaction, I’d strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Don't use this firm! Some of the conveyancers are probably fine but the one i have dealings with ought to change professions! He is disorganised, non- communicative, and either inexperienced or deliberately obstructive! After an unnecessary delay over a period of weeks we are still no closer to exchange. Why? No-one knows because he isn't communicating! He has all the documentation, the funds have been secured and the deposit in. The last piece of information was received by him on Monday at 3.15pm (a letter he insisted receiving in paper copy) and since then...........nothing!!!

I have used Amity Law twice now (once to sell and once to buy) and I am very grateful for the outstanding service I received from my Solicitor Julia Khan. I recently faced a complex case involving the court to sell my house and I couldn't have asked for a better solicitor to handle it. Her exceptional knowledge and expertise, keeping me informed and reassured throughout the process. Meticulously handled and available to answer my questions and address any concerns. The level of professionalism and personal care I received was extraordinary. Julia treated my case with upmost importance and her approach was instrumental in achieving a successful outcome.
