The lenders that Alpine Credits use would rather foreclose than renogtiate terms. They will even do it knowing that you have an accepted offer.

Professionalism from Alpine Credit only happens when you are borrowing when you pay it off it is very difficult to deal with them to get any statements or receipts. You will pay high penalties for getting out of it early. They are not in the business of looking after clients they are in business for their investors only they do not care about their customers.

I had in the last few years the chance to deal with a financial rep - Jasmine Sahota - which was very helpful, knowledgeable and very diligent in helping me getting an extra small loan added to the existing bigger one.
Dealing with Alpine Credits can be acceptable if you close an eye to the expenses. There are many different fees, some very high, lawyers are paid royally and the most annoying thing is the loan is only for a year and you are required to pay for an appraisal every year! But in my situation I didn't have many other options so I had to go with them. We both were in advantage, mine being the smaller one. All their people I had to deal with were nice, polite and helpful.

DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY! They will sweet talk you and charm you into a contract with high interest rates and a ton of fees. And then if things go sideways in your life and you have trouble paying they will become aggressive and show complete disregard for your circumstances. And unlike banks they will still try to withdraw your payment while racking up a $145 NSF charge for each default. They won’t make any accommodations for you and will become ruthless and stiff necked about everything. Avoid this company! There are other lenders with more integrity and that are easier to work with. This company is only a few steps above a loan shark. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

I strongly advise against using Alpine Credit. They wasted several months of my time, only to come back with nonsense excuses and tell me my property was worth nothing. Instead of being upfront from the beginning, they kept dragging things out and giving me the runaround. Completely unprofessional and misleading. If you value your time, avoid them at all costs.

Yes, Alpine Credits is fully legitimate. As a holder of 2nd and 3rd mortgages, sold to me through the company, I can assure you it is nothing but fair and equitable. Once the mortgage is sold to the client, I have taken it on to administer the mortgages I hold. I have, over the years, built amicable relationships with those who borrow from me. I hope this review offers a different and helpful perspective.

Good god. Of course website lures you in that they can get you done fast. We needed bridge financing. We have amazing credit, lots of equity and assets. Application was ok and I told him we here in a hurry. The bank had effed up our loan application and I thought this was going to help. You know...quick.
Yeah no...I get a call that we are approved but cant have it for 2 weeks. 2 weeks?? What sort of business thinks people have 2 weeks? Never again. The world moves faster than that people.

As others have said, read reviews here, BBB and search Reddit for verified and personal accounts. I investigated a small mortgage for debt consolidation and renovations, as the home needs enough work that main banks want to see work done before approving.

On a proposal for a $100k @ 9% (while prime is at 4.95%, which bank offered at 5.5% "if" the home was in better shape, so my financials don't justify 9%), the fees are insane at $14k! Where some quick research validates what I recalled from home purchasing, of closing costs averaging 1.5 - 3% (if it's not a new build with GST, of course) on a mortgage.

They had my attention until I did my due diligence and hunting repudiable sources for reviews like BBB and Trustpilot, and also searched reddit for general commentary, and processed the numbers/fees provided after I was off the phone and could focus.

If between multiple sources they were 3.5 or 4 out of 5, then I would chalk it up more to a few bad experiences or people not reading the fine print, but yikes. I'll take the healthier road and go through debt counselling to get ahead of my debt, and work on this house to get it to the state the banks need to get it over the finish line!

Do your homework and read reviews before you use this company. I did not and really did not know much about getting a 2nd mortgage. I only needed it for a few months. First they only offer closed mortgages and I was not advised about that until after so now I have to pay 3 months of fees for paying them back the money I borrowed 5 months ago.

Brokerage fee $3120, Broker fee $2800, Application fee $495 Lawyer $700
I borrowed $50k only got $49 in my account
I paid $600 for home appraisal
Now 5 months later I sold my home.
Paying back my loan amount changed an extra $443
Extra month of interest was added $556
3 month penalty to give them money back $1685
Payout Admin fee $175, Legal fee $960
Borrowing $50k cost me $62,713
I think it would be great if Alpine offered me a price reduction!!!!!!
Just look at all your options before you sign.

I wouldn't wish even to my worst enemy to deal with this company. So many things are undisclosed, and they are good only in inventing all kind of charges. When they owe you money they are trying all possible ways to delay the payment with all kind of excuses. If only I could apply their late payment fees and exuberant interest fees. Stay away from them regardless how desperate you are. I made my mistake not reading reviews and I paid a heavy price.

I was able to get the funds that I requested. I have to say that Bev was marvellous. She was there and helped me every step of the process. I’m extremely pleased with Bev. She is a lovely lady. This was a long process because I didn’t have everything she needed to make this happen. I’m giving Bev 5 stars because she was so patient with me. I’m giving Alpine Credit 5 stars for the way they did everything to provide me my requested funds. Thank you Alpine Credit and thank you Bev.

I was a new customer before with Alpine credits. When time I was going to pay my loan. My lawyer inform me that they charge almost double what I borrowed. This company is cold and cruel and very small.
Think three times to call this company. Remember.

I was quickly pulled into the process with Alpine- however 24 hours led to 2 weeks, 3 weeks and on and on. The customer service (Bev) and management did not return calls until late in the evenings (if they even did) where they seemed to buy time and skirt clear answers. I heard excuses like we're short handed - oh yes you'll see that on your documents... nothing ever promised was what was actually presented. Additionally the rep constantly made mistakes on her paperwork--including but not limited to earnings statements provided by Revenue Canada.

In the 11th hour - I started noticing a lot of evasive answers to questions any reputable mortgage company would address. By the time the paperwork came through there were so many alarm bells ringing, the best choice was to abandon Alpine and seek other channels of lending. Even a private lender you would save fees with.

Simply try and get lender's instructions and payment information from them. You'll find that the reviews in the Better Business Bureau match the dangerous position you would put yourself in with Alpine Credit.

This company is a racket. And although their marketing sounds good - it's just pretty words and cartoons. The promise is not backed up with fact.

Visit the Better Business Bureau it is all you need to know.

Bev was good to deal with made the process easy

Predatory is all I can say. Your monthly payments are not even enough to cover the fee and interest for a year. Then after 1 year they increase the interest rate even though you sign a 60 month term + there renew and application fees$$. DON'T DO IT go to the bank!! Take me 10 years pay off this loan oy if I increase the monthly payment by 50%, PREDATORY!
