If you installed the eSIM before your flight, you might just need to turn off 'Automatic' network selection in your phone's settings and manually connect to the Avea network.
However, if you are trying to install it for the first time after arriving, recent Turkish telecom regulations on international eSIMs are unfortunately blocking the connection.

Installation and set up needs to be more intuitive/idiot-proof for non-techies like me!
It’s complicated to set up - should be more intuitive (like an apple set-up) - I’m now away and I was still on my UK line as well as eSIM for the first few days. Data/internet ok but still can’t work out the voice-call situation! I’m not massively tech savvy - should be idiotic proof for people like me!

Easy to use
Fairly easy to use and had great connections in Europe and Asia. I even had to cancel an eSIM I had purchased and they were very quick in giving me a refund.

It just works
It just works. Sometime the signal is not three or four bars but we work around that and have had no trouble receiving or sending communications. The cost, $13 per 5 Mb, is reasonable.
