DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY A PENNY. SCAMMERS HAVE TAKEN AWAY MY DREAM HOLIDAY. £2500 FOR FLIGHTS TO AUSTRALIA. STILL NO REFUND FROM DECEMBER. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW THEY ARE STILL TRADING

Scam company! They cancelled my flight two weeks before my departure and told me refund will take 10 days. Six months now still I received nothing from this company. Search youtube and tiktok they have many victims!

This is my 4th review about these guys and I have nothing positive to add. I’ve had no choice but to try and retrieve my £3k through the credit card company.
Please do not give them a penny of your money, we work hard and save for these trips and you will not get a flight out of these people. Hopefully my nightmare will come to an end soon.

Wow all people leaving good reviews please don’t trust me this is a scam bought flight that are not available told I would not get that flight anywhere in the world (I did!!) told a refund would be approx within 21 days now after 23 days they asked me to raise a consumer dispute that’s the only way I will get any money out of them so please avoid at all costs

On the 15/07/2025 I booked a return flight with the travel agent Airwaay through the website cheapflights.co.uk. I paid £604.06 with my debit card. Shortly after that, a gentle man from Airwaay phoned me and asked for an additional £98 since the seat for the price of £604.06 was no longer available. I was not happy about his asking since the seat was available at the time I booked the flight. I asked him if I could cancel the booking and have my money back. His reply was that I had to wait for three to four weeks since the money had gone to the airline. Reluctantly I paid the extra £98.
On the 23/07/2025, that gentle man, Shaun Parker, send me the details of the flight. It was a flight with Turkish Airlines, and not with the Qatar Airways as I initially booked. I checked with the website cheapflights.co.uk, and according to the site the price of the flight was much cheaper than what I had paid £702.06 (£604.06 + £98).

In returning to his email, I said I booked with Qatar and so not accepting Turkish Airlines. He then send me details of the flight with Qatar Airways. But this flight was different to the flight I initially booked. With this flight I had to re-arrange my days and time in order to suit the flight schedule.
I paid an additional £98 for the flight I chose and then I was offered something different to the flight I initially booked.
I cancelled the booking on the 25/07/2025 and asked for a refund. Since my cancellation, I have not received any information from the travel agent Airwaay, as well as my refund.

Now 2 full weeks still no refund!
Not a surprise.
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY !!

a really dodgy travel company, their not Atol protected, their website is a scam, they do false advertising , their flights don't exist

Bait and switch scammers: they don’t have the flights you ‘book’ on their website. Once you paid no receipt or confirmation so you panicked and they use your angst to try to force you to buy a more expensive deal with different dates. They also lie about baggage allowance. A scam supported by credit card companies so best to avoid them completely as getting my money back is still not happening despite being in the right and supposedly protected by UK customer laws.

Do not book anything with this company, they are crooks , they advertise fake very cheap holidays, I booked them, they called me stating they don’t have the flights , they tried to hard sell different flights which was a lot more expensive. I asked for a refund, which I still haven’t got , this was 23 days ago, just had a call from them today, stating that I call my bank asking them to do a refund, as they won’t refund for 4/6 months. I just called ATOL who said that there has been so many complaints about them, and they are going to be closed down due to fraud

Zero stars, avoid this company and any of its sister companies under the parent company Trav Expert Ltd, as many many other reviewers have said it’s a complete scam. Booked a flight online to Brisbane and within 30 minutes after paying I had a callback saying that price was unavailable for that seat and it was going to cost an extra £300, so I asked for a refund and was told that would take up to 25 days, after a bit of screaming and swearing I finally got put through to a so called manager, who tried to tell me the reason for 25 days was they had to get money back from airline! This I thought was complete BS as airlines don’t take money for seats that don’t exist (later confirmed by airline when I spoke to their customer service dept). Anyway after a bit more of an argument this so called manager found a different seat available on another flight for £150 extra, needing to get to Oz I had no choice but to accept (stupidly) and got transferred to Floyd, now Floyd should be a politician, very smooth and polite but absolutely crammed full of BS, after sorting out the details he assured me I would get e-tickets within 72hrs, 72 hrs came and went so tried to phone him and email him, either never in office or busy and I was told I would get a callback as soon as he was free, no calls but a couple of emails to string me along, after god knows how many calls I finally told the receptionist not to get him to call back but I’d wait on hold, 27 minutes later a different agent answered and immediately told me he would cancel flights (I never had the chance to ask him to do this) and my refund would be available in 2 weeks this time, so obviously I lost it with him again and he agreed to mark it as urgent and I’d get a callback from refund dept yesterday afternoon…. Shock horror the one man refund dept, who doesn’t start work until 12.30, actually called back, promised I would get my refund that afternoon but only if ( here’s where it gets fun) I tool my original trust pilot review down, extortion/blackmail who knows, anyway I took it down and surprisingly NO refund, this afternoon I’ll try again, wouldn’t be surprised if the one man refund dept is on a months holiday now. I’ll add to this rant with updates of their lies and excuses, did feel guilty about slagging whole company off but remembered the whole lot of them lie to their customers so I feel no remorse

This would be zero stars if that were an option. Eleven weeks ago I booked two return tickets, but the company was unable to provide them. I was told I would receive a refund within 21 days. While I wasn’t happy, I accepted this.

I am still waiting for that refund.

In the meantime, I had no choice but to book with another provider and will be returning home tomorrow, yet I am still nearly £1,800 out of pocket. Since my daughter moved 9,000 miles away, I have travelled several times and used various booking agencies. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with, particularly in terms of communication.

An extremely disappointing and stressful experience. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I bought a ticket for fiji .24 hours later they demanded an extra £531 .I cancled straight away .they confirmed and still took the money .they prommiced s refund only to be given excuse after excuse
Avoid at all costs

I paid over £6,000 in June for flights for seven people and received a booking “confirmation” but no tickets or booking reference. Five days before departure I was told the flights were unavailable. The airline confirmed the agent never ticketed or confirmed the booking, despite taking payment.
I had to rebook at more than double the cost at very short notice. Looking at Trustpilot, I can now see similar complaints going back years, describing the same issue. Extremely stressful and costly experience. I would not recommend.

I booked ticket in october 2025 but did not issue ticket and ask more money for what price i bookked so i cancel ticket apply for refund been ask me for 3 week to cradit back money since now they did not cradit back mu money every time i call they give me date never get cradit my refund

I booked a cheap flight with Thai Airways with Airwaays and was given all flight details as though my ticket was reserved. There was no flight it was a promotional offer .Now im waiting 9 days for a full refund and an Indian man promised a refund by Friday 19th December 2025 just passed and no refund arrived. I had to chase them all Saturday for my ticket after paying £1044.00 with no reply from them for 6 hours then Sean said no ticket available and then Accounts said they will refund me in 5 days now 9 days i not received nothing. No REFUND Not Happy. I suggest anyone reading this to use LAST MINUTE.COM OR a reputable known flight booking ticket company as these at present i feel are like cheats in Percival Street as it is easy to refund in 24 hours so i will only take down this review when i am refunded my money in full. This is a genuine WARNING. Until im refunded i am Warn other intending flight buyers WARNING....

I am experiencing exactly the same problem as many other reviewers.

I booked through this company after seeing an attractive price. Shortly after payment, I was informed that the booking could not be confirmed and was asked to either wait or pay extra. At that point, I lost trust and requested a full refund.

I was clearly told that the refund would be processed within up to 21 working days.
It has now been over 20 days, and I still have not received my money.

Each time I contact them, I receive the same generic excuses:
– technical issues
– delays with the payment system
– “the refund team is processing it”

There is no clear communication, no proof of refund, and no way to speak to anyone who can actually resolve the issue.

Based on my experience and the large number of similar reviews, this appears to be a pattern, not a one-off issue.

I am now considering escalating this matter further if the refund is not received immediately.

⚠️ I strongly advise others to stay away from this company.

As always an absolute pleasure dealing with this team, however special thanks to Sandra, who was able to use the same budget for connecting flights and book direct flights.

I cancelled my booking within 10 minutes as I mistakenly clicked the wrong month. They agreed to the refund minus a fee and sent me a contract to sign to agree. I called and emailed repeatedly, was threatened by staff on the phone, no emails ever got responded too etc. I am glad I never actually used the tickets as I doubt I would have flown anywhere!! In the end I used the advice from another trustpilot review threatening small claims caught against the owner and to contact Fraud action. After following this very helpful advice, I received my refund two months later. Avoid at all costs!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Like everyone else, we almost fell victim to their usual scam.

They advertise a low price, you book - only to be told they can't confirm the booking yet and you have to wait. Alarm bells started ringing when we first tried to call them - sounded like i'd just woken someone up who couldn't even answer the phone properly.

We were waiting for around a week to get the confirmation. Then of course the 'booking' never materialises and they say you have to pay extra. At this point we obviously had zero trust in the business and were clearly not going to take any further chances with them so we requested a refund.

They said they will process the refund and we'd get it within 21 working days which on it's own is crazy. Of course that money never appeared.

It then took a further week to get our money back but only because we threatened the following. And i suggest you do the same:

1. Report to Action Fraud and the Police
2.Issue a statutory demand for the full sum with a threat to wind up their company - Trav Expert Ltd
3. Issue a claim in the small claims court together with costs and interest
4. Take action against the 2 directors: Anshul Khattar and Shantanu Sachdeva

We spoke to Floyd Pearson, Dave Smith, Andrew Brown, Jessica, Nicole and Sandra. Pretty sure they're all made up names. If you speak to any of them, please know that they are all in on it. You'll never be able to speak to anyone in the Refund team, and instead have to deal with one of the names mentioned above who give you the same story.

They gave the same excuses mentioned in other reviews, that there's a glitch, the money cant be transferred. They even suggested I claim back via my bank which I was in the process of doing when they did finally pay me.

Stay well away. They are fraudulent scam artists. And liars.

I booked air ticket as advertised by this company. It went through smoothly and received an email stating that I will receive e-ticket in 48hrs. After 48 hrs I got nothing so I called their staff and I got told that the ticket is confirmed but I will have to wait for the staff dealing with my flight by the name JESSICA. I waited and waited but Jessica never called me. I requested Jessica to email me explaining why I haven’t received my e-ticket. She emailed me back saying that she is waiting for the airline to confirm. This shocked me because my booking went through but now she was telling me different story and started asking me if I am flexible.To cut story short, I struggled to get my ticket so I ended up asking her to refund my money so that I can book my ticket directly from the airline. I got told that my refund will take 2-3 weeks yet that is the time I am meant to be travelling. I requested to speak to the manager but every of their staff was saying that they are in charge so I got nothing reference contact of their manager. I have ended up finding more money to book my ticket directly from the airline yet this travel agent is still holding my money. They told me that my refund has been processed however after a few days I asked them to email me all the information stating why they did not issue mr a ticket . I got told that I will receive that next day but I never received. Furthermore I got email saying that now I need to give them my last 4 digits of my card as refund didn’t go through yet that the same details I used booking my flight . Currently I am trying to get ATOL to help me get my refund and compensation but I can’t even get a way to do that. This company is a total scam/ sham and please stay away from it. Also they staff normally give only one name but when you asked them to give full name they decline. Moreover when I figured the location of the company’s call centre is, then it made sense why this company is a sham. The whole team is untrustworthy/ unreliable and they are liars.Now I am stuck and they got my money. I cut the story short because I even got airline got involved but it was in vain. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHAM COMPANY.

This morning 17th Nov 25, I called this company requesting all the information they promised to send to me last week regarding their misleading information on their website and how I had to cancel my ticket. I requested to speak to customer service but I got told that they are not in. Well 1100hrs in the morning and customer service staff are not in? That’s definitely a lie so I spoke to this staff and he told me that my refund will be processed and earlier I got an email saying that I will get it this Thursday so I’m waiting to see. With the information I asked so that I can escalate my case, he told me that it will take more than a hour to write yet I received an email saying that it will I will get that following day. I asked him if it’s fair to promise customer something that they will not fulfill but he said it’s not uptight him. The staff was an apologetic and I even asked him why he can’t apologise on behalf of the company but he said it’s not him who emailed me that information. This company is a total mess and they lie a lot . They are not trustworthy and people should be very careful when booking anything with them. For your own peace of mind it’s better to avoid travel agents if you can and especially AIRWAAY. They are SCAM
