A Friend Studio is the creative outlet of Dean Machala, based in Belfast. Most of my work comes through word of mouth, a friend of a friend. I work with comedians, small businesses and couples to make them look their best through creative ideas, thoughtful design and a touch of humour. Sub brands include: Love A Friend focuses on wedding stationery and design. Heckle which focuses on design and motion for comedians and independent brands.

Consummate professional
Dean is a consummate professional and I have had him photograph events that I have run.
He is completely unintrusive and yet manages to get everyone's good side. He's very reasonably priced and usually will have sent you your photos before you're in bed that night!

I've hired Dean for both headshots and for photographing gigs. I've always been delighted with the results and the way Dean captures the feeling and experience of a live comedy gig is extremely impressive.
