African Activities CIC Arvostelua 

Lottie at African Activities arranged a superbly enriching day for our secondary students at Newstead Wood School. Organised, quick to get back to us and totally reliable. Kulcha, our facilitator, was a wonderful narrator and musician, filling our students with positive energy and sharing his history and experience with them. A fun and vibrant workshop for the students, reasonably priced and we are booking them again for a whole day of drumming and culture next year!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an African drumming workshop delivered by African Activities at our local infants' school, and I cannot express how truly exceptional the entire event was. From start to finish, it was a celebration of rhythm, culture, and inclusivity that left a lasting impression on both the children and adults alike.

First and foremost, the facilitator leading the workshop displayed an incredible ability to engage with every child, ensuring that each participant felt included and valued. Their adaptability was nothing short of remarkable, tailoring the experience to suit the needs of the diverse group of young learners. It was heartening to witness such an inclusive approach, as every child, regardless of their abilities or background, had the opportunity to actively participate and enjoy the rhythm of African drumming.

The workshop itself was a sensory delight. The vibrant beats and infectious energy filled the room, creating an atmosphere of joy and excitement. The facilitator skillfully guided the children through different drumming techniques, making the experience both educational and entertaining. It was evident that the workshop was thoughtfully designed to not only introduce the children to African culture but also to foster teamwork, coordination, and a sense of accomplishment.

What stood out the most was the way the facilitator seamlessly integrated elements that appealed to the diverse group of participants. The inclusive nature of the workshop extended beyond the drumming itself, incorporating storytelling and interactive activities that further enriched the cultural experience.

African Activities delivered a workshop that transcended the ordinary, providing an enriching cultural experience for the infants' school community. The inclusive approach, adaptability, and genuine enthusiasm of the facilitator made this African drumming workshop an unforgettable and highly recommended event. It was a true celebration of diversity, unity, and the universal language of rhythm. Kudos to African Activities for creating such a memorable and impactful experience!

The whole school enjoyed the drumming workshops and have asked when we can have them again. Kwame was so good with our children, adaptable and very good going along with what they were doing.

What an amazing day!
Every child from Early years to year 6 had the best experience. Every teacher was so complementary of the drumming. Lessons were adapted to make sure all achieved and had fun. Would recommend this experience and would have them back in a heart beat.

Exceptional! The Adinkre art session was excellent - our team thoroughly enjoyed getting creative. Kwame's knowledge is second to none. He carefully took time to speak to each person regarding the meanings behind their symbols. Would recommend!

Kwame was excellent, as a teacher, I learnt a lot. Kwame was incredibly understanding, funny, and insightful. It really felt like a cultural experience, not just drumming. He can offer so many classes, including sustainability sessions, we absolutely will be booking again. Thank you for giving our school this valuable experience.

We had drumming and dance sessions with Kwame for the whole day in EYFS- it was an amazing experience! The kids really loved it and were so enthusiastic as well as the teachers!

We had a fantastic day with Kwame and all the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Kwame had just the right approach with the age of the children (5-6 yr olds) and they all succeeded at both the drumming and the dancing.

Our students had a wonderful day of music making with Kwame. They played a variety of African instruments, including the Djembe and also took part in some traditional dancing and singing. Kwame was very entertaining and gave the students a real insight into the role of music in the African Culture. He was always positive and encouraging and the students thoroughly enjoyed the workshops. We will definitely be inviting them back!

Kwame was fantastic! We used AA for a work social and everyone enjoyed it! I'd 100% recommend it!
