Not a very smart company
UPDATED: I was informed this has been updated and Fraud was confirmed. I will update in 30 days to make sure it was taken off my credit report.In December of last year I received a phone call from Advance America telling me that I had not made a payment on a payday loan I had taken out. I let the person know that I had NEVER done business with this company. She asked me what my address was, the address used online was an address I have not lived at for 10 years. Then she asked me what bank I banked at. The bank that was used was not bank I have ever used. I then was told I must go to the police dept. and file a report and then send that report to them. I did that. This fraudulent loan was taken out online. Now they have turned me over to collections for 470.00 on a loan I did NOT take out. DO NOT DO Business with this company. They allowed someone to scam them, and they will not take responsibility for their stupidity. I have reported them to the BBB and will pursue legal action against this predatory lender.
