I recently attended a CPD event on ISO 45001 organised by ACT in Birmingham.
There were a good variety of speakers who made clear succinct points and suggestions and generously shared their experiences during the day.
I managed to pick up a few tips on the day and network with a few like minded H&S professionals.

It was a useful event, but could have done without the snow in the late afternoon which brought traffic into gridlock at rush hour.

Very happy with the whole experience

This shambles of an organisation sent my exam results to a third party without my permission. When I complained they refused to accept responsibility and implied it was my fault. I since found an old email that clearly showed it was their fault. Upon receipt of this they eventually admitted fault and apologised. Had I not retained said email they would never have admitted liability. THERE ARE LOADS OF COURSE PROVIDERS OUT THERE THAT WILL HOLD YOUR PERSONAL DATA SECURELY AND WON'T TRY AND BLAME THEIR CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR OWN SHORTCOMINGS AND MISTAKES.

After posting this review ACT Associates responded by posting private information about me online. They made inaccurate statements about how my course was paid for (when challenged they were unable to provide any evidence to support their claims) in addition to revealing the outcome of my exams. They also made a reference to my state of employment.

I have since alerted NEBOSH and the ICO who have both investigated these incidents and both organisations found ACT Associates were lacking in their procedures and both advised ACT Associates to improve how they handle personal data. After I challenged their response and reported them they deleted their reply to my review.

I can only hope they have taken the advice given on board and nobody else has to go through this ordeal. If you value your privacy at all or even just like the fact that nobody is divulging your information without your permission then I would recommend you find a different course provider

Having come from Australia and spending years dealing with the Acts and regulations there, I decided to undertake the general certificate to back up my Australian qualifications.
I was impressed not only with the incredible customer service from the initial phone call through to the first full week with the tutor. While extensive, the course content was relevant, the tutor adapted to all levels of experience within the class, conversations were relevant to the subjects but most of all it was fun. Everyone within the class was encouraged to contribute and I am sure that every student took something away with them at the end of the week.
With a huge choice of training providers, I know that I chose the best company in ACT.
Looking forward to the second week.

The tutor was very funny, personable, knowledgable and made it a fun and interesting course.

The venue was handy and central, the course layout was good and the communication from ACT was excellent.

All in all, a great course

Vey good course for improving why H&S is so important and understanding why we do what we do. The course tutor was great, very knowledgeable and a great interpreter of the regulations involved.

The subject matter knowledge is excellent and examples are relevant to the course. The approach is relaxed and very grown up and encourages all to interject and add additional depth to the subject.
