As someone who came into this access course with no hope I'd actually get through it, I'd say that this course is great at helping those who are less academic or haven't been in school for a while. Convenient and good level of support
Really happy with my experience - doing an AOLL Access Course has meant I can get the qualifications needed to apply for a Dietetics course with the convenience of working to my own schedule and without having to go to a college. All of the tutors and staff are really helpful and supportive and respond quickly.
There is a lot of content to get through and you do need to be able to manage your own time/workload. However the assignment deadlines are helpful in keeping you on track and I found some of the topics interesting.

You won't regret studying with them!
I was so nervous to do this but Sam was so helpful and helped me start my journey with ease! Nicola and Mike were amazing tutors and made me feel so relaxed and confident. Everything was wrong the entire year....but the cherry on top was at the end of the course, when I was singaling that my name is not spelled correctly, after they try it to put the blame.on me, proved that this mistake is on them, they had the audacity to ask me 50 £ to correct this.... for those in the search of a provider just choose something else. Protect your mental health and money and choose another.....
As a late discussion with the school my name issue will be resolved and future similar problem will be avoided. We managed to have a very structured telefon discussion, which I appreciate, especially coming on a bank holiday weekend.

We would like to clarify that the issue regarding the spelling of your name on the certificate has now been resolved. At the time of registration, all learners are asked to confirm their details, including a hyphen in their name as it is in your case. If anything needed addressing at the time we would have responded immediately. This information is then submitted to the awarding body. Unfortunately, any changes after certification do incur a charge, which is set by the awarding body, not by us.
We also want to highlight that support was available and provided throughout your time on the course. Our team aims to respond promptly to queries and offer guidance whenever needed. You successfully completed your course in time for the moderation deadline, which is an achievement worth recognising.
In regard to resubmissions, the QAA regulations allow learners one opportunity to resubmit a failed assignment. This is a national policy we are required to follow, and not a rule set by us.
We understand that you may have been frustrated, but we would have appreciated the opportunity to address your concerns directly before the review was posted.
We wish you all the best with your future studies and your career in health care.

This course got me an interview for Essex Uni for Dental hygiene. Unfortunately I didn't get in. This course is well structured but I personally found it extremely time consuming. I am a single mum with 2 kids. I found myself writing essays at night and doing research on my days off. This was very stressful for me. The course took me 15 months to complete when other people managed to do it between 9-12 months. I don't know how. Amy was very helpful on many occasions explaining things regarding University applying process. Overall I would recommend but keep in mind that if you go over 12 months period you need to pay extension fee of £75 per month. It was very hard work so be prepared.

Balancing education with parenting responsibilities is no easy task, and completing the Access to HE Diploma under those circumstances is commendable.
It’s clear that you gave a great deal of effort to meet the course requirements, often under challenging conditions. Many students do complete the diploma within 8–10 months, but we understand that everyone’s situation is different. For this reason, we offer the option to extend the study period beyond the standard 12 months. This flexibility is designed to support learners who need more time, like yourself, though there is a monthly fee to help cover the additional support and administration involved.
We’re also pleased to hear that Amy was helpful during your course, particularly with the university application process.

Excellent Experience
I studied the Access to HE health professions course in the hope of studying Paramedic Science.
The support I received from my tutors, Nicola and Andrew, was amazing. The materials were well-explained and interesting. They were challenging, but I enjoyed that.
CLEAR differentiation between pass, merit and distinction enabled me to achieve 39 distinctions and 6 merits (awaiting moderation).
Special mention to Andrew, who supported me massively with my biology units and telephoned me often for support.
A massive shout out to Amy who also was a huge support, especially with my UCAS application, she is very supportive, and nothing was too much trouble for her.
I have a lot to thank AOLL for, as Paramedic Science is hugely competitive to gain a place, I was offered 2 places at 2 different universities, 1 of them being my first choice.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything.
