Buying first mobiliy scooter
This is the first mobility scooter I have bought. Gemma made the whole experience very easy. She is very knowledgeable of all the products sold, and recommended a scooter that would suit my needs. Both staff I spoke to were friendly with a professional manner showing patience and a pride in their work.

Broken Wheelchair
I was actually beside myself when I noticed our wheelchair was pulling away from the right side knowing it was not safe. I took it into Ableworld and the Engineer took time to look at it and fixed it for us. What wonderful service! It does need more special attention so they also booked me in for a service in two weeks to change out the chair pad and make sure everything is up and running correctly. Amazing care and concern at our Stockton Ableworld. Thank you!

What can I say. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!!! Gemma, Diane and team have been there every step of the way. I was getting a powerchair through access to work and my employer and the team helped me with all the details, trialling the powerchair and made it an unforgettable experience. The website doesn’t indicate whether the slippers are men’s or women’s. Ordered a size 7 thinking ladies and they arrived what would have been an 8 for a lady but we’re apparently a men’s 7! Far too big. They were also in the wrong box and we had to pay for the return and subsequent exchange. Still waiting for these now. Very disappointed

We purchased a power chair during a…
We purchased a power chair during a home demonstration. Although the basics of the chair were demonstrated it was in brief. After two uses it became apparent that the chair wasn't suitable for my wife. Ableworld did agree to accept the chair back but warned they would need to make a charge for any damage caused. Other than some very minor scratch to the foot rest, which I suspect may have been there on delivery, the chair was as delivered, and i have photos to prove this. However Ableword claim the chair had considerable damage (after two uses) and only agree to return 50% of the over £2000 cost of the chair. Be careful about using this company.

The Extra Mile
My disabled son’s wheelchair had a puncture. Went to Halfords to see if they had a replacement inner tube, but they only had ones for bikes and not the size required. Ended up at AbleWorld (Stockton-On-Tees) and the two staff members Diane & Gemma were so helpful. They had the correct inner tube in stock. They then went the extra mile and installed it into the tyre for me and inflated. Very kind and friendly. Thank you 😊

A pleasure and relief to know we were buying exactly the right thing for me…My husband and I went went to…
My husband and I went went to Ableworld in Stockton to look at mobility scooters for me. We went there because they were so helpful when I first need a wheelchair and toilet lifts, elephant feet, wall handles etc etc. no hard sell and the products are excellent. We did buy an Apex Alumalite and frankly because of all the help and answers to our questions..the hardest choice was the colour! I love how they (Diane and her smiling colleague) assembled it in front of us ..so relaxed. It was a pleasure and a relief to know we bought the right thing! It was such a nice experience as I had been quite concerned.

Impressive fast and professional service. Lowest price around too.
My daughter had an accident and needed a temporary stair lift as a matter of urgency. From the phone call I made to the Stockton branch to the installation took less than 24 hours because they really pulled out all the stops - it was the coronation weekend too. Super pleased with their sympathetic and professional approach. Hats off to Chris too - he surveyed and fitted in my tiny wonky cottage with skill.

Appalling after sales care
My father purchased a scooter from the Stockton on Tees branch 14 months ago. The scooter has now developed a fault where all operations are completely dead. The branch collected the scooter 2 weeks ago, but don't appear to have any sense of urgency in finding the fault or repairing it. Until this is returned, he has lost his mobility outside of his house which is not helping his mental health. Have tried contacting Ableworld on his behalf, but no response to my mails. I see other people have been asked to get in touch via the support@ address, but no point if they don't want to reply. In contact with Trading Standards.

We are aware that you have emailed into support@ableworld.co.uk and a senior member of staff has emailed you back to apologise for the delay on the repair, unfortunately, everything the engineer is testing on the scooter is operating ok, yet the scooter will not switch on. He has been speaking to our manufacturer on this too, hence the delays experienced. The engineer working on your father’s scooter will contact him directly, if not already done so to advise.

Rubbish pill popper.
Whatever you do do not buy the pill popper from Ableworld. It is tiny, made of cheap plastic and will not pop pills without crushing them. It is crap. Also if you open it to test it you will not get a refund. The shop said no twice and the head office make excuses and basically tell you to get lost. I wish I had found out about their abysmal after sales service before purchasing a riser recliner from them. I would certainly have gone elsewhere. Once again the pill popper is absolute rubbish.
