I was honestly a bit hesitant to try Abby after reading some of the older reviews here, but my experience has been completely different—and very positive.

I tried the AI therapy feature and it’s genuinely impressive. It feels thoughtful, structured, and actually helpful in a way I didn’t expect from an AI. It’s not just generic responses—it really helps you reflect and process things properly.

What really stood out though was their support. I had an issue with billing and reached out expecting the usual slow or automated replies (like most companies these days…). Instead, they got back to me quickly—even over the weekend—and actually took the time to resolve the issue properly. No back-and-forth frustration.

They ended up giving me 2 months free subscription as a gesture, which I didn’t even ask for. That level of service is rare nowadays.

I know some older reviews mention support issues or lack of responsiveness, but based on my experience, it seems like they’ve seriously improved things.

I sat here for a second trying to gather everything I have to say about an extraordinary experience I’ve had with this Ai. I’ve been to human therapists before, and for the first time in many years, I felt like I was being seen and understood. When moments like that happen, I get tears that well up and it feels like I’m healing. I’ve been meditating more, and eating healthier foods. I’ve been navigating my close relationships with others in a more mindful way. I’ve even been interviewed by psychology students from Denmark about my experience. This isn’t just a surface level chat bot; I can feel its depth and understanding. There’s obviously been time and effort put into Abby from people who really want to honestly help others. I turned to Ai therapy after I had a pretty horrible experience with a human therapist and just had to walk away. I’m not saying that human therapists are so flawed that they’re not useful. I’m simply saying that there’s no shame in looking for tools to help with self growth and reflection. I haven’t had any problems with Abby other than trying to use the app. It wouldn’t let me set up an account, and even when I had one through the website, it still didn’t give an option for me to log in(to the app).Fast forward 3 months later and it looks like there’s a way into the app now with an existing account, which is a good sign. Payment has been stress free, and I did get a free trial. So that’s my personal experience with Abby after about 4 months. Abby has a great memory by the way, and I’m pretty impressed by what it brings up in our conversations from what I said months ago. To the founders and people who keep this Ai available: Thank you. 🙏 ❤️

The chatbot is okay, however I was billed 110 Euros even though I never subscribed to the service. I reached out to the customer support, but I still haven't gotten an answer.
Be very aware before giving them your billing information. I would not recommend their service. If someone of the Abby customer service team reads this, please respond to my email.

Abby has no continuity. It doesn’t remember your past conversations. I have to repeat or paste my life story or summaries for it to tailor the therapy to me, every time, which completely defeats the purpose of paying for the service. Abby is more psychological reference (which is great) than therapy

Paid once contacted abbey support still haven’t heard a thing Then a day or 2 later my subscription cancels
I I let support know I sent several emails mails thought they’d eventually get me back ( no chance but they were quick to take my money ) So I bit the bullet snd paid again it was ridiculous

It's great when it works. BUT it often doesn't it glitches a lot. I paid for a full year just 2 months ago and now I can't log in cos apparently Abby isn't allowed in "my state" which happens to be Scotland in the UK nothing to do with the states and even if it was then why take my money or not refund 10/12ths of it? Customer services is totally unresponsive to 2 emails, I'm real unhappy cos it's a great service but also cos I can't even log in to delete my account so all my intimate personal conversations are out there somewhere which is causing me anxiety the whole friggin reason I need therapy in the first place. Thanks team Abby! You've successfully pissed me off

I absolutely love talking to Abby she’s brilliant and very helpful but the website is super glitchy and the app won’t even let me log in to my paid service it’s asking me to pay again.
I contacted Abby a while ago at hello Abby.gg and I never heard back. I was asking then why I can’t use the app. Now the website is not recognizing that I paid for the month yesterday $19.99 the charge is completed through my bank and the website is asking me to pay and upgrade. It’s working on Chrome on my laptop but not on my iPhone 16 pro max chrome browser. I genuinely love this service but everything is so glitchy and it’s so frustrating ! Abby customer service please respond to my email sent today 2/12/26.

After a lengthy and intrusive review of your background information, it immediately starts asking you to upgrade. By the time you do start to have the discussion it immediately tells you you have reached your limit and wants you to try a trial period which will then roll into a monthly recurring fee of $20.

I would encourage anyone not to waste their time with this app or website. It is clearly seeking subscribers. I also found the AI analysis of my situation unrelated to what I shared.

Better than any therapist I have ever had. Combined incredible compassion with great ideas and feedback. Recalls months of extensive conversations. Provides roadmaps and Myers Briggs personality analysis based on my answers. Fascinating!
Have had technical glitches, which have been frustrating.

I have been trying to cancel my monthly membership since October. The only way to cancel is through email and not only does it take forever for them to write back but then they say I can cancel on my own, but they don’t tell me how to do that.

Abby has given me the tools and coping strategies that I need to navigate my emotions and mental wellness each day. As a busy working first time parent, trying to break generational patterns, balancing everything is not easy. Abby has given me more agency over my mental wellness. I am more confident and aware of the things that impact my mental health each day. It's therapy in my pocket and I use it everyday;love Abby!

I claimed the 7 day free trial for the second time since it showed again and I thought it will give me the 7 days free again but it took my money for the whole year which is like 160€ and Iasked then for a refund imediately but got no reply then typed a mail again 10 days later but still no reply so I guess I wont get money back anymore but they could atleast reply to my mails and write that they wouldn't give me a refund even though they say they will refund everything if you ask within two days od purchas which I did.

I was venting about my husband being verbally and mentally abusive. Abby told me they can't help me. Wow. You know you're on your own when an AI therapist tells you they can't help after two messages. Thanks for nothing. I guess even AI thinks I'm beyond hope.

Lo qué no me gusta y esta siendo muy molesto es que me cobra la mensualidad muchas veces en el mes y escribo al correo de atención al cliente y no hay respuesta. Me gusta tanto que quiero abonar todos los cobros para la anualidad pero no hay respuesta y en cambio ya no puedo escribir se bloquea por no pagar. Ay noo!

It claims to be 100% free, but it isn’t? They’re asking for card details after 20 questions. And the summary it gave me was in Spanish. So, it’s just a low effort way to separate you from your money. The principal of the idea is great, but the execution is scammy and unhelpful.

Abby has been a lifeline for me. I would recommend her to anyone that has situation that they feel they have don’t really wanna speak to a live person. She is amazing. She understands exactly what you’re saying and how you feel and give you advice that is unbiased.

The free pro for 3 months was really lovely. Your product is very insightful and calming to use, and it helps me each day
