Great Villa – Terrible Customer Service from Abahana Villas
We stayed at Villa Avalon, which was a beautiful property and met all our expectations in terms of location, cleanliness, and comfort. No complaints about the villa itself expect for some ants in the sleeping rooms\beds we could been without.

However, Abahana Villas’ customer service was a major disappointment. When the dishwasher broke early in our stay – a crucial issue for a group of nine – we received slow, unresponsive service and we had to chase them repeatedly for updates. After first email, we had a replay that they would send someone to look at it. No further response for many hours. New email, no response. Called them and requested an update. They promised to check status. No further feedback for 19 hours. New call and same answer. Finally, a few hours later, I got a call and got conformed that they would not be able to repair the dishwasher during our stay.

After checkout and multiple emails requesting compensation for this issue, we were then finally offered compensation, the amount was laughably small considering the inconvenience. We were offered 50 EUR in discount. Based on the fact we have rented a premium Villa, with a dishwasher listed as inventory we have purchased a product Abahana Villas haven’t delivered on. The compensation was also offered only if we signed a contract that we would agree upon that the compensation was “reasonable and objective” and to not add any negative comments online.

Bottom line: The villa was great, but if anything goes wrong, don't expect Abahana Villas to handle it well. Their customer service and level of compensation offered after multiple email with no offer at all is completely inadequate and left a bad impression on an otherwise nice holiday.

We are glad to read that Villa Avalon itself met your expectations in terms of location, comfort and cleanliness, and we are sorry that a technical incident overshadowed what could otherwise have been a fully positive stay.

The dishwasher issue was reported on May 2nd, two days after your arrival. That same day we were unable to attend the matter, but the following day it was determined that solving the reported error required a specialized technician. As it was already the weekend, the earliest intervention available would have been on the Monday after your departure. Unfortunately, in short stays such as yours, there are situations where repairs simply cannot be completed within the timeframe.

We fully understand that this was an inconvenience, especially for a group of nine, and we did not oppose your decision not to wash dishes manually, knowing that the cleaning team would take care of it at checkout. However, when assessing compensation we apply objective and consistent criteria: it is calculated only for the nights affected after the incident was reported, and balanced against the overall facilities and services enjoyed (private pool, sauna, six bedrooms, four bathrooms, table tennis, barbecue, etc.). From this perspective, while the lack of a working dishwasher is certainly a nuisance, it does not diminish the overall experience of a premium villa in the same way as a more critical failure would.

We regret that our compensation proposal felt insufficient from your point of view, just as your own request seemed excessive from ours. Our goal is always to handle such cases with fairness and consistency. What we can assure is that the situation was managed within the limits of what was realistically possible, and with the professionalism that guides all of our operations.

Second time booking with Abahana Villas…

Second time booking with Abahana Villas in Calpe, they are very friendly and helpful. We arrived later than expected because of a flight delay, phoned the number on the door and someone arrived within minutes to hand over the keys. Villas are very well presented. The welcome pastry hamper is a lovely touch.

Excellent Service, always with a smile

We have stayed with Abahana Villas numerous times now and have always been extremely pleased with their service. They are professional and efficient and special thanks to Anne, who has been our regular point of contact for several years. She has always managed any small issues that we've experience quickly and courteously, always with a smile and pleasant greeting. The Maintenance team have always been quick to respond and have always sorted out any issues for us quickly and properly. We plan to return year on year and will of course be seeking to do so with the help of Anne and Abahana.

VORSICHT!! Nicht buchen!
Extrem unseriös.
Ein Stern ist noch zuviel!
Nur auf Profit aus, schlechte Beratung!
Ich habe explizit um eine Villa mit entsprechender Parkmöglichkeit für ein 9m Wohnmobil gebeten. Empfohlen wurde mir die Villa Gema, es wurde zugesichert dass sowohl Anfahrt als auch das Parken kein Problem sei.
Der sogenannte Parkplatz ist am Ende einer steilen, schmalen Sackgasse mit Kurven, ohne jede Möglichkeit zu wenden. Also rückwärts bergauf mit dem 5,5t Fahrzeug. Die Vermittlung hatte die genauen Maße. Durch die steile Auffahrt hat das Heck aufgesetzt und die Verkleidung ist gebrochen, die Kupplung war am qualmen und der Belag muss erneuert werden. Mir wurde telefonisch geraten ich könne ja das Wohnmobil unten am Berg abstellen und zum Haus hochlaufen.. Laut maps 35min, super mit Gepäck.
Kann ja alles passieren. Wenn man den Fehler denn einsehen würde.
Aber nun kam die Aussage dass nichts erstattet würde, da das Problem ja nicht an der Villa läge. Sie hätten sich ja schließlich bemüht und den tollen Vorschlag mit dem Hochlaufen gemacht.
Wir können dort nicht Urlaub machen und haben über 1000€ gezahlt für die Woche.
Wir haben das Haus nicht einmal betreten!
Dieser Vermittlung geht es nur um Profit, wie ich nun in zahlreichen anderen Rezensionen lesen kann. Leider zu spät!

Nachtrag-
und Reaktion auf Antwort der Agentur auf meine Bewertung:
zum einen kannte ich dieses Haus gar nicht und habe mich auch nicht danach erkundigt, es wurde mir explizit empfohlen. Zum anderen hat man mir nie geraten vorsichtshalber auf maps zu schauen, im Gegenteil, man hat zugesichert dass es passt, und auch der Besitzer der Villa Gema hätte das vorab bestätigt
Da man leider absolut nicht kritikfähig ist und wahrscheinlich frustriert über eine weitere schlechte Bewertung, behauptet man nun plötzlich das Problem hätte an meinen Fahrkünsten gelegen. Dem ist nicht so, mehr muss ich dazu nicht sagen. Ein 9m Fahrzeug kann man dort nicht wenden, das ist Fakt.
Ein kleiner frauenfeindlicher Seitenhieb.
Aber das zeigt wie diese Agentur sich Kunden gegenüber benimmt. ;)
Die Antwort wurde mittlerweile abgeändert, dass es am fahrerischen Können läge, gelöscht.
Man hat nicht umsonst europaweit unglückliche Ex-Kunden ;)

We regret that you ultimately chose not to stay at Villa Gema due to the difficulties you encountered with your motorhome. As you already mentioned these concerns on a previous review, we would like to clarify once more for the sake of transparency.

Before confirming the booking, you provided us with the exact dimensions of your vehicle, and based on this information we verified with the property owner and sent you additional photos of the access and parking area. We also suggested using Google Maps so you could check the approach route in advance. All of this was intended to give you full visibility before making your decision.

When you informed us of the problem on arrival, our team acted immediately: several alternatives were discussed by phone, and a colleague was sent to meet you personally at the villa. Unfortunately, by the time he arrived you had already left, and the opportunity to provide further on-site assistance was missed. You were also offered the option to remain in the villa over the weekend while we worked on a possible alternative solution, but this was declined.

Given that the villa was accurately described, the access had been confirmed with the owner, and no opportunity was provided for our team to support you on site or to arrange an alternative, we have followed the procedures established in our general rental conditions. For this reason, and as there was no breach of contract on our part, no refund was made.

Finally, we would like to stress that Abahana Villas does not delete guest reviews or make personal or discriminatory remarks in its responses. We respect all feedback — positive and negative — as it helps us improve and allows future guests to form their own judgement.

We regret that you left with such a negative impression despite the support offered, and we will continue to refine our processes to handle exceptional situations such as this even better.

Two great stays with Abahana Villas

This was our second stay with Abahana Villas, this time at Villa Avalon in Benitachell, and it was stunning. The villa has beautiful views, is stylishly decorated, and is well equipped for a relaxing winter holiday. We even enjoyed some sunny days during the cooler season of the year, and the sunrise was spectacular.

The Abahana team were helpful and kind as always. We look forward to staying with them again.

Do not book with Abahana Villas

Don’t go anywhere near Abahana Villas

I spent a winter break in Villa Alex, it was dirty and poorly maintained. An old fridge freezer dumped in the salon, the fridge freezer in the kitchen broken with visible screws and bits of plastic lying in it, and a broken toaster, pots and pans that looked like they had been from a charity shop, a panel missing from the roof of the shower room, the overall place was dilapidated.

During this time there was a catastrophic gas leak, Abahana villas could not have cared less. They offered no alternative accommodation. Day after day gas engineers turned up! The 2000 litre gas tank in ground had badly corroded according to the engineers. A gas bottle was directly placed on to the boiler in the garage, which frequently failed to produce hot water

They still have our 4000 euro deposit. They refuse to give us meter readings for the Electric and claim we should pay 60% of a 2000 litre gas tank! Which is ridiculous!

I have been forced to register a complaint with the Generalitat Valenciana, in order to get my deposit money back.

Stay well clear of this dishonest outfit!

Villa Cilandro

Since we can't leave a review on Abahana Villas own website (wonder why!) we are leaving it here.
We booked a villa in Calpe (Villa Cilandro) in Spain for 11 nights early Sept 2024.
On arrival - can't check in till 5 pm.
We booked a villa with a pool, as with 7 family members staying looking forward to spending time relaxing together, here and the outside space for meals. We couldn't sit outside - at all. All holiday, we were prisoners inside, or had to leave the premises. The entire holiday. The villa was over grown with plants, with dead leaves everywhere. This is a haven for mosquitoes, of which there were plenty. Even getting from the car to the front door of the villa you would be chased by 5. A previous reviewer had already highlighted the problem but been told it was just a summer issue. This was more than a few summer mosquitoes, it was an infestation. We each had over 60 bites from the first couple of days (before we realised how bad it was). I flew home early whilst the rest of the family checked into a hotel locally as it was miserable. The rest of the interior was well below expectations. 7 mugs for a villa for 10 people. No wine glasses. 6 bowls. Dreadful mattresses in a couple of rooms, broken shower, broken air con remote. The list of faults was endless. We didn't complain at the time as all this should all be checked with changeover of guests - and they had already been made aware of the mosquito problem. They knew it was awful but just wanted the money. We looked forward to that holiday for over a year, saved up for it - as it wasn't cheap, and have come back more tired and more stressed than before we went away.

You stayed in our villa from August 31, and it was not until September 13 that you first informed us about the presence of mosquitoes. All our villas have established fumigation processes precisely to prevent this inconvenience; however, sometimes, due to high temperatures, these treatments need to be repeated. In your case, unfortunately, we didn’t have the opportunity to act, as the notification reached us even after your departure on September 11.
Regarding the villa's kitchenware and amenities, we always recommend our guests reach out to us for any assistance they might need, as we are available to help at all times. We did not receive any other requests from you during your stay, so we are deeply sorry that we couldn’t address any additional needs you may have had.
We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in the future to provide you with an experience that meets your expectations and demonstrate our commitment to our guests' well-being.

Anbei unsere Rezession zu der Villa Atmosphera

Anbei unsere Rezession zu der Villa, die wir dieses Jahr über Abahana Villas gebucht haben. Da die Rezessionen auf der Homepage von Abahana erst geprüft werden, bevor diese eingestellt werden, gehe ich davon aus, das die Rezession nicht veröffentlicht wird. Es handelt sich um die Villa Atmosphera. Daher hier meine Erfahrung:

Juli 2024;

Die Villa befindet sich in einem herunter gekommen Zustand.

Im Außenbereich: Total verdreckte und vermoderte Grillhütte; Die Außendusche ist ebenfalls unzumutbar verdreckt. Keine Sitzauflagen für die Gartenmöbel. Die Gartenmöbel an sich stark verschlissen. Müllberg im unteren, nicht zugänglichen Betriebsbereich des Grundstückes. Waschmaschine im Außenbereich auch verdreckt. Pumpe für den Pool viel zu schwach, daher Grünbildung an den Poolwänden und keine klare Sicht unter Wasser. Poolbarometer kaputt. Mülltonne mit Blättern, die aus dem Pool gefischt werden, bis obenhin voll.

Im Innenbereich Schimmel in der Dusche, Duschwasser läuft kaum ab, daher Überschwemmungsgefahr, Duscharmatur hält nicht und rutscht an der Duschstange runter, gesprunger Spiegel im Bad, Bodenfliesen im Bad nicht fest verfugt als Wasserablauf (Kakerlake in der Dusche die durch die offenen Fugen verschwunden ist), loser Wasserhahn, versiffte und noch schmutzige Klobrille, die beiden Einbauschränke in den kleinen Schlafzimmern waren voll mit Unrat (ausgefranste Schaumstoffmatten etc.) und nicht als Lagerstelle für die Kleidung zu gebrauchen. Diverse Schranktüren nicht in Ordung bzw. fehlten ganz. Es gab nur Winterbettwäsche. Klospülung locker. Lose Kabel mit Isolierband versehen hängen aus der Wand.

Die Villa an sich war sehr dreckig. Haare auf der Klobrille, Kaffeekapsel in der Kaffeemaschine, Zigarettenstummel im Aschenbecher (Terrasse). Noch Reste eines Spülmaschinentabs in der Spülmaschine etc.....

Die Villa an sich hat eigentlich Potenzial, wenn man sich etwas um die Wartung und Reinhaltung bemühen würde. Für all die o.a. Punkte habe ich Fotos und Videos zum Beweis gemacht und diese umgehend der Verwaltung von Abahana Villas gemailt. Nach einem Tag haben wir dann eine Box mit Croissants von Abahana erhalten. Nett, aber was bringt das?

Nach einer erneuten Mail kam dann ein sehr netter älterer Handwerker vorbei der auch einige Dinge geregelt hat:

- neue Klobrille angebracht - Wasserhahn repariert - Müll aus den Schränken entsorgt - Sitzauflagen für die Außenstühle besorgt - zwei Standventilatoren für die beiden kleinen Schlafzimmer besorgt - Schimmel in der Dusche mit Farbe überstrichen

Die Poolfrau kam auch vorbei, um sich die Pumpe anzusehen, meinte aber damit wäre alles okay....

Ich habe bei Abahan a Villas nach meinem Urlaub eine Erstattung eines Tagessatzes (wir waren 12 Tage vor Ort) für die ganzen Unannehmlichkeiten gefordert. Dies denke ich, ist angemessen, da wir mind. 1 Tag unseres Urlaubes mit der Regelung der Missstände verbracht haben.
Dies wurde aber abgelehnt, da man bei Abahana der Meinung war, durch die o.a. eingeleiteten Maßnahmen hätte man seine Schuldigkeit getan.

Wir zahlen einen Haufen Geld für unseren Jahresurlaub und erwarten eine entsprechende Gegenleistung dafür. Die war definitiv diesen Preis nicht wert.

Ich denke daher nicht, dass wir noch einmal über diese Agentur buchen werden.

Abschließend möchte ich noch erwähnen, dass es extrem viele Mücken um das Haus gibt. Dafür kann Abahana nichts, aber das Haus verfügt nur an den beiden Badfenstern über Fliegenschutzgitter.

Fraude agency

Abahana villas was the agent of the sellers house we made a bid on. We paid a reservation fee to secure. They were never honoust about documentation and we hsd to find out ourselves through a lawyer who helped us to get all documentation on the table. After months of waiting and when we asked if the seller was willing to lower his bid, he suddenly dropped out of the negotiations and refuses to sell the house. Thats fine, his choice but abahana villas did not refund the reservation fee of 5k till now. Our lawyer is trying to get this back. Abahana just dont reply and keep their money on the pocket. Unbelievable agency.

Abahana informed us to contact the owner so our lawyer did. To be continued

Update january 2025
Despite their general response nothing has been done and a person named mathilde would help but still nothing. We keep pushing them to get our 5000 euro back with help of a lawyer

Sewer air…pay a lot for towels and…

Sewer air…pay a lot for towels and bedsheets. Two workmen came with wood and drill and walked past us and started working, while we were swimming! Said nothing! To few pans for 10 people. One night all the electricity went out.
Late key collection in calpe, away from adora village.
When we ordered extra towels we had to pay more, because we were ALREADY in the house!

They dont care about their customers and are literal scammers.

They promise a lot, but don't deliver

I had a six-day stay with my family.
Unfortunately, on the second day, one bedroom air conditioner leaked the floor and it was very slippery and dangerous.
The office promised quick help, but unfortunately did not deliver.
Technicians came on the last day and they said it was fixed. unfortunately that was not true.
When I think back now, when I got the key to the villa, the office told me that it would take a while because repairs were being made.
think the air conditioning was faulty before that.
When I was still there, they promised financial compensation for the circumstances.
Now I am back at home, l've been told by email that there's no compensation because the air conditioning basically worked, no matter if water was running down.
The fact that the floor was dangerously slippery doesn't interest the office.
There was really a lot of water because of the high humidity.
If you ask me, I would book from abahanavillas anymore.

Be Aware of Bank Charges

We recently used Abahanna for a long term rental (2 months). The villa and stay was fine however there was a problem with the deposit which anyone from UK should be aware of. They take a 3000 euro deposit for the stay on your credit card. After deducting expenses, they refund the difference into your bank account. The exchange rate was poor and there were additional charges, costing us around £100. They were not flexible enough to refund to the card as requested. Will not be doing this again.

Casa Maple on Moraira Hill is an…

Casa Maple on Moraira Hill is an absolute gem. Fantastic views throug 360 degrees, beautiful heated pool and a lovely hot tub. Gorgeous rooms and kitchen with everything you could ever need. We will be back!

Abahanavillas NIE WIEDER

Ankunft in Check In Büro ca. 13.00 Uhr, die Herausgabe des Schlüssels für die Villa Bellavista wurde verweigert da angeblich das Ferienhaus noch nicht bezugsfertig sei. Das stimmte nicht wir waren vor Ort und alles war fertig, auch stand das Haus vorher 10 Tage leer. Abahanavillas Check In Zeiten sind von 17.00 -20.00 Uhr. das bedeutet aber nicht das man seinen Schlüssel fürs Haus bekommt. Erst als ich um 18.00 Uhr immer noch nicht den Schlüssel bekam und drohte in ein Hotel zu ziehen, wurde mir der Schlüssel innerhalb 10 Minuten ausgehändigt. Nach vier Tagen haben wir das Ferienhaus umgehend verlassen, nachdem wird festgestellt hatten, das es unzählige Kakerlaken im Haus gibt. Das kann durch Fotos belegt werden.
