At least I've already had a few face-to-face dates. Do you think any real meetups are possible via 40sMeet? I highly doubt it. The matches they sent me were hundreds or even thousand miles away, they were ridiculously inappropriate and they didn't match my search criteria at all. 40s Meet is based on deception. They take your money for the annual subscription and then they don't care if you get any service. Actually they don't intend to provide any service.

The site feels designed for adults rather than trying to copy younger dating apps. That was refreshing.

I have been on this site a couple of weeks or so and have chatted with a few people that have in my opinion turned out to be scammers using fake profiles.
The messages seen similar from so called different people from different areas but look familiarly written.
After asking to chat on the phone at some point, they always turn that down and want to keep messaging as if they aren't real or fake they can't speak on the phone of course as they'd get found out.
I've never seen do many ladies from all over the place all Catholic also lol

When I've said I'll leave it and not bother with the app anymore, the messages I've had back are also very similar and longish saying they'd like to continue messaging which is also very strange as they are just too samey ( that's not a word haha ).
So I'm saying scammers and maybe one or two people or more scammers are chatting with lots of people and I'm getting messages at daft o'clock in a morning and then another from a different one 3 minutes later, which is not normal tbf.
Everyone bar non says Catholic on their profile !!! I don't mind that but it's just things I've picked up over the weeks that don't seem right.
All the best if you are looking for a partner as I am, but don't get fooled by fake people and it seems the internet sites are full of them nowadays, which is a big shame tbf !!!!

SCAM ALERT If i could give a zero i would. Wish I had looked at reviews first. They take your money then you cannot get in your account. You email to cancel and they say do via profile which you cannot access. Loads of emails received which you cannot access the messages. They will not refund monies despite no access to site. DO NOT SIGN UP

These people are total scammers! The site is terrible and in order to leave it, they refuse to accept an email and make you write and post a letter via registered mail to Austria!!! Do not get caught in this trap with these con artists!!!

Sc@mming site, they will refuse to cancel your subscription then tell you to pay up even when they have canceled the subscription. This was an actual quote from them, "Your membership has been canceled, but that doesn't mean you won't have to pay anything to. The information has been sent to you." This is totally illegal and they need to close this site along with its sister companies, datinglions.com and loveat50.com

I am from NZ using this ..its totally crap.
This app is a complete scam! They charge a monthly subscription without giving any real access to members. You can’t even properly use the app, yet they keep deducting money from your account. The worst part? Cancellation is impossible! They make it deliberately difficult to stop payments, and customer support is nonexistent.

Stay far away from this scammy app, and do not fall for their fake promises! Report it if you can and warn others before they lose money too.

Scam ,scam ,scam!!!, thank you for becoming a member,we will bill you incrementally every month The first indication of a scam was that they stole a years subscription fee from me in one grab ,which is NOT what their website states!, The rest are just chatbots or fake profiles,They even sent me a "like" profile for an 86 year old woman!!,This was after i stated my age range interest to be between 40-60,far out (lol) other profiles were plainly bullshit, I live in nz and my distance range was set to 100kms so they send me a like for some australian woman???Absolute rubbish!!,reverse charges👍👍

I wish I read the reviews before I pressed pay. I thought I was paying for £4.50pw which is what they advertised but what they did was take £254 in one go out of my account. This is not what I signed up for, neither did I expect that they would take so much money out. I am so gutted because it was the last money I had and it was my birthday. People can be so wicked. When I realised this I called the bank immediately and they told me they can't do anything, I have to wait for them to take the money and then file for dispute. I could not believe the bank could not cancel a pending payment. I have emailed 40smeets customer service and no response. It's been 4 days and nothing. You can't call because there is no number. How are they still allowed to do this to so many people. What can be done to stop them? This is illegal and fraudulent. How do I get my money back?

I HAVE BEEN WITH 40'S MEET FOR SIX MONTHS NOW ....For the whole duration I Was getting to know a guy...it all went well but he didn't want to change to email platform ? I worked out that he was leading me on so I would keep paying the subscription...They have chatbots on here not real genuine people....It is a total rip off if u don't pay your subscription by card they expect you to send money transfer which is way too expensive through the bank then I had to join a cheaper money transfer website.....I never got a date out of it and yes you have to send a fax to cancel otherwise they will keep renewing your subscription ......I'm a nice girl from Australia and I don't deserve to be treated this way so you tell me the best dating apps to go on ???? Also I have paid renewed my subscription for another 3 months and they won't let me read my messages...they are blurry and they expect you to pay more !!! Awful site and I cannot cancel despite requesting this multiple times. They are now chasing me via a debt collector for the subscription payment for something I have asked them to cancel. They are ignoring me!
