Safestore - Chiswick Arvostelua 

Outstanding team, great price, great location.
We were moving from a more remote store with another provider. The SafeStore team made it simple, fast and efficient. Perfect in every way.

I have been a customer for several years and have used your facilities at Winchester Winnall and Chiswick (22 Sutton Lane). Overall, my experience has generally aligned with the positive customer reviews, to the extent that I have previously recommended Safestore to family and friends. Regrettably, I no longer feel able to do so.

I am writing to express my concern regarding what appears to be a change in internal policy and, more importantly, the inconsistency in how this has been communicated.

At both locations, I was previously informed in person that certain promotional offers could be redeemed at the point of a new let if I extended or reissued my agreement. I was also advised that I could vacate and re-let the unit under my name, or even a different name, in order to obtain a different promotional rate. I specifically queried whether this approach aligned with company policy and was reassured that it would not be an issue.

I have since been informed that this is not the case. This inconsistency is concerning. Had the correct and consistent policy been clearly communicated from the outset, I would not have proceeded with the unit and would instead have made alternative arrangements without cost.

I also understand that Safestore’s policy has recently changed and that it is no longer within the company’s remit to offer gestures of goodwill, even in cases involving loyal customers or difficult personal circumstances. While I appreciate that this has now been confirmed in writing, it does leave me somewhat confused given my previous experiences. In the past—particularly during a very difficult period involving an overseas bereavement during COVID—I was supported with flexibility, including an adjusted and competitive rate.

In light of the above, I regret to say that this change in approach has diminished my confidence in the consistency and transparency of your customer service.

Given the current climate—where many people are facing significant personal, health, and economic challenges, as well as emergency situations involving vulnerable or elderly relatives—it is especially important that communication remains clear, transparent, and consistent.

While I feel it is important to share my experience so that potential customers are fully informed about the policies and level of flexibility they can expect, I would also like to acknowledge that the facilities at both Chiswick and Winnall are well maintained.

Have used Safestore for my business for over 10 years now and very happy I am about it too... Alistair and team are on hand and go above and beyond to help. Notifying us of deliveries, keeping the place well maintained and generally being good people to deal with. I don't know how many units they have available at any given time but if you're looking for clean, dry, well lit, well maintained and secure storage at a reasonable price you'll not find better (trust me, we've looked hard over the years). The fact that there are friendly faces and it's conveniently just off the A4 is just the cherry on the top. Thanks Alistair :)

The place feels really safe and welcoming.
Alistair the manager along with Adel and Mo and any other staff I have met are super helpful.
They have always been quick to respond to any questions right from the beginning, amazed to speak to a human not he phone and get a same day email replies.
As an existing customer if you need to upsize downsize or change again very happy to help show numerous units, they have been very patient with me, shown me lots of different spaces to make sure I was happy and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
