Lidl GB Arvostelua 

I contacted lidl customer service regarding my Parkside robot lawnmower that I purchased in March 2026. I submitted all the details that they asked for. Serial number, model, receipt image and my details. They opened a case and I discovered that the battery had gone faulty by borrowing my son's battery to test my mower. It worked fine with his battery. I went back to customer service and they passed my case over to their warranty department. I was then asked to resubmit all of the details by the warranty department taking me back to square one after 2 weeks of my original report. I chased up my warranty claim and was told to keep an eye out for an email from a company called grisly tools. I have heard nothing at all since. Disappointing as we spend over £600 a month on our shopping in Lidl. Warranty has not been honoured.

We are very loyal customers of Lidl in Llangefni on Anglesey and like their products, the bakery and the wine. The staff are great, friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately, the standards of Lidl seem to have dropped. Very often some of the shelves are empty and it seems to be untidy and grubby now. I went across the road to Aldi for something and found it refreshingly well stocked and clean and tidy. We will be shopping there from now on. Angie and Marty

A formal complaint regarding the sexist abuse from a male shop assistant at Stanningley Leeds store. Called myself love several times wouldn't stop calling myself that.

After I stated I'm not a love. Creep of a guy. Didn't call the woman in front with her having a man. Sexual harassment from him.

Then claimed that he can't change any of the items it's against the law to force a person to buy an item if it's wrong.

Especially as a lot of the prices are not on items at that store. If the discount doesn't work then I've got the legal right to say "no".

Older looking male, white with gray hair wasn't going to give me my recepit.

I don't take kindly to being treated like an idiot when a Lidl till doesn't work as anticipated.

I object strongly when a Lidl employee Shane loudly calls me an idiot.

I feel threatened when Folkestone's Lidl's male staff gang up on me.

Sadly such poor and often ageist treatment is increasingly common in retail and seems due to bad management. It was a problem at ASDA but in recent times ASDAs have changed much for the better.

Now its Lidls with rotten fruit on shelves, empty, cardboard boxes customers have to remove to get to the products shelves, and managers who really don't care. Perhaps that explains the ever changing faces at Lidls whereas its good to get to know ASDA's increasingly friendly staff.

ii cant believe the promotion lidl have giving away free pastrys and cakes full of sugar and bad fats , convincing people to eat more rubbish and have a poor diet, why cant they give away fruit and vegtables instead.

Regularly get over charged always ask for a receipt, fruit and veg is also rubbish grapes covered in mould, deluxe nectarine tasteless new potatoes full of eyes really bad quality

Lidl Winterstoke Road, Weston Super Mare.
I have been a Lidle customer for many years. I've been supporting the Winterstoke Road branch as it is on a road that is closed to through traffic for 2 years due to bridge repairs.
I went to the store this evening did a week's shopping and as the single open till was busy, I went to the self check out. I selected a large shop check out and started to check out my shopping. I very quickly ran into trouble as the scale said 'item incorrect weight' the red light flashed and I waited but there was no one around to help. Eventually a young lady came and reset the machine. I carried on and it happened again. Again there was no one around. Then eventually she turned up again and reset the machine. I carried on a third time and she left the till area again. All this time the till queue had disappeared. I had frozen food sitting there melting in the heat of the store. I was totally fed up and I asked the cashier on the till what was going on. She didn't seem to know so I asked to leave as this situation was deplorable. By now people were coming into the self service and the young lady returned. She ask me what I was doing. I said I was fed up with the poor service with a faulty checkout and that she kept leaving the area. She said I shouldn't speak to her like that. I couldn't believe my ears. I was being ghosted by a member of staff for complaining. I went back to the exit gate and again asked to leave but the girl on the till just said I shouldn't speak to her like that. I had not shouted or sworn. I just wanted to leave the store. Eventually the till girl came over and opened the barrier but this was all taking place in front of the other customers.
I am a forces veteran and I am a carer for two disabled people. I was needlessly publicly humiliated by these staff and I will never return or support Lidl again if this is the way they train there staff to treat customers.

I would give Lidl Shanklin a 5 star rating but there are no customer toilets, hence only 3 stars.
On the Isle of Wight there is an elderly population
who need toilets,
When we shop at the nearby Aldi store they have customer toilets.

I purchased a chicken and mushroom slice from Lidl and found a bone inside it after I had already bitten and chewed it. I contacted Lidl Customer Services and provided photos of the product, the bone and the packaging as requested.

I was eventually offered a £7 voucher. While i appreciate the gesture, I dont feel this adequately reflects the seriousness of finding a bone in a ready to eat product, particularly as i had already chewed it and wear braces.

I expect the complaint to be taken more seriously and for the compensation offered to reflect the circumstances.

Lidl selhurst. Poor staff who arent professional. Today I had to wait for assistance on the self checkout because the female staff was chatting to her mate in another queue and then she let a male jump the queue to use the never in use checkouts ahead of others waiting. Her face said I was an inconvenience to her socialising on duty. Cheap prices yes but crap service.

Had to return nectarines to Lidl Edge lane because they were mouldy when I opened them . The young lady on the till I returned them to refunded them but didn't seem very interested in what I was saying ,could do with better customer service . Security guards are unfriendly an stare at customers in an intimidating way .Not a pleasant store to shop in .

Sadly this company hates their customers. The branch that I used to use took away all the small baskets. So I gave lidl a second chance and used a store that had small baskets. Now that store no longer has the small baskets. They only have those stupid things on wheels. Firstly I don't want my shopping being contaminated by debris off the floor where people may have nasty things on their footwear. Secondly having to constantly bend down to floor level is not going to do my back any favours. No saving is worth a back injury. The reason that lidl has done this is that they hope you will buy more if you have a larger basket. It's just a con. This is nothing more than corporate greed. Something that seems to be a theme with lidl. Watch out for when a lidl product disappears from the shelves. It will return in a month or two with new packaging a smaller product and a higher price. Yes lidl is far more greedy than the big British supermarkets. They are just pretending to be the best value. You can often find much the same deals elsewhere. So they thought they could con me into buying more with the stupid basket on wheels but what they have done is lost a customer. I don't want the bad attitude of the staff or the German owners. I will not be shopping in lidl again.

Dissapointed with the cleanliness of the Parc Tawe Store in Swansea last Saturday.
Rubbish on the floors, bins overflowing.
Plants outside the store dead from lack of care and water!
Queues unessary waiting, with just two tills open!
Staff gathering in groups! Not a good look.

Really shocking how everyone is allowed to use their phone while working, sharing videos, and laughing out loud when customers need serving or texting while they put their fob on the self-scan pay machine.

It's fine if the managers let this happen knowingly, but it reflects badly on the brand.

The language in there is also bad; on a previous visit I heard the F word at least four times from two different members of staff. One looked like a manager too (bald-headed guy and a younger tall guy with dark hair and freckles).

Only 2-3 days ago I also heard two managers talking about how a member of staff was ' stupid ' (bald head guy again and a girl who always shouts 'dad' down the isle at another man) because they asked for 5s and the staff member bought out 5p coins instead of notes - Keep it in the office and be respectful, as that reflects on who you are.

It's ok to offer value, but when you become the cheaper alternative, standards drop considerably. If I go back in, then that reflects on me, so I won't be back.

I shopped at this store on the 13th August 2026, and found the the store a shining example of the Lidl business. Unfortunately there was also flaws in the store.
I had purchased 2 bottles of wine in the special offers section as a new store offer, with £2.50 off each bottle.
When I went through the manned checkout it failed after scanning only 2 products. Customer service assistants were unable to repair it and I was transferred to another checkout queue.
All goods went through okay and I loaded all items in to my car and then checked the receipt and found the wine had not been discounted.
I then went back in the store and went to a customer service advisor and explained what had happened, he then asked me to accompany him to where I acquired the wine from. We took a bottle to the self service and put it through the system which proved I was correct|||
He was unable to give me a refund and contacted the head of the customer service team who was also unable to refund me and told me to retrieve my 2 bottles of wine form my car??? and go to a manned checkout to get my refund.
I followed his strange instructions and after queuing again was told by the lady at the checkout that she was unable to refund me and called the same customer service manager for a code, which did not work. After waiting a further 6 minutes and a large queue behind me he eventually found another code which worked. He never once apologised and I found in rude in nature, VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
As far as I could tell the pricing error was left for other customers to be deceived by Lidl.
I complained online to their customer service team and all they did was offer a sweet treat voucher as compensation. SHOPPERS BEWARE WHEN SHOPPING IN THIS STORE.

LIDL DEREHAM STORE ASSISTANT SUE 16.8.26. Needed to return a bag of Maris Potatoes I had purchased on 11.8.26 today (16.8.26) as they had black mould in each potato. Store assistant was inexcusably rude and aggressive with an unpleasant mouthy attitude; she tutted said the receipt was too old (5 days) I had the potatoes too long and that at best she could only allow me another bag of potatoes to replace them. I did not want this but picked up another bag which were in turn also mouldy from the same batch. At this point she became really aggressive and started shouting at me that she needed to serve other customers. She retained the bag I had returned and the bag I had picked up underneath the counter and proceeded to serve someone else; clearly her inability to help me should have been dealt with by a manager for which she was not prepared to request so hence why I am leaving this feedback. I live within an 22 mile round trip of the Dereham store and therefore it is not just up the road and potatoes last more than a couple of days when purchased so she was just being incredibly bolshie, is unfit to be serving public. Its time to hang up your boots madam, it is not your money, it's mine!

The staff at the self checkout at Oldbrook Boulevard, Milton Keynes are verbally abusive, very disrespectful and very aggressive towards staff. The self scan staff that was at the checkout reported customer to security guy about a strawberry. The customer had already paid and opened the gate from the self scan with the receipt. The customer left the store without any alarm sounding. But, the security guy called back the customer and verbally abused customer and made racist remarks towards the customer. The manager, Ron also came and also verbally abused customer and disrespected customer and was very rude to customer. The staff are not helpful at all. They are very mean, very rude and very disrespectful. Customer doesn’t want to shop there anymore. Not a good place to shop. Poor customer service and the vegetables and fruits are always rotten and out of date.

Ahmed from Limehouse Lidl saw my huge shopping and helped us to scan quickly and it was very helpful as we were so exhausted from work. THANK YOU SO AHMED FROM LIMEHOUSE LIDL. Your kindness is much appreciated

Honestly always enjoy shopping @ Lidl,West One,Salford, great choice & prices, very friendly & helpful staff, but,bought a "Deluxe'pizza, wasn't worth putting the oven on for,looks as tho someone just threw handful of topping on it,thankfully,always have plenty in the freezer!
