Bought an Apple iWatch in Cork from a boy called Denys he was most helpful and pleasant to myself and my daughter in picking out the most suitable one for her , explained everything and no forcing a sale on us. I can’t recommend DID enough. I ended up buying a vacuum cleaner as well. Thank you Denys I’ll be back.

I made a order over a week ago and I received half and had to wait for the next part a few extra day later and that was for collection

Abysmal customer service
The worst customer experience I have ever had.
I placed an online order for delivery on Friday, but called this morning to see if it could be changed to click and collect. I was told by a member of the team that this wouldn’t be a problem and that I could collect it today. I called at 9.30AM in the morning.
Four phone calls later (all of which said that the order had not been picked and they’d call me about an update) and after sending six emails trying to look for an answer, none of which were answered, we ended up driving all the way to the warehouse ourselves to try and get an answer.
The only helpful person throughout the entire experience was the gentleman at the front desk. He genuinely tried his best to help, but unfortunately by that stage the order had already been shipped.
It’s a pity we had to physically drive to the warehouse just to finally get a straightforward answer.
PRO tip for the customer service team: if you tell a customer you’re going to call them back, actually call them back. Communication shouldn’t be this difficult.

Very disappointed with DID Electric, Cork Store.
We visited DID Electric Cork on Sunday 26th July to look at gas hobs. We showed interest in one model but didn't purchase at the time as we wanted to double check some measurements at home first. That Sunday afternoon we received two unwelcome sales calls from DID trying to confirm the purchase. We purchased the gas hob the next day. When we collected and fitted the hob we found it was set-up for natural gas, and as we use bottled Butane gas it wasn't working correctly. I contacted DID Electrical Cork by phone and email seeking assistance, but they were unwilling to help. They only recommend Electrical installers. If they can't or won't offer an after-sales service for gas, they shouldn't sell the gas products. Also, I feel they should have a duty of care to customers purchasing gas products to have the item installed by a registered gas installer. We didn't get such advice. Luckily I'm an engineer with a lot of experience of gas systems and I was able to fit the correct LPG nozzles to resolve the problem. The hob is working correctly now despite zero help from DID Electrical Cork.
They lost interest in me once the sale went through and I was abandoned to fend for myself. Also, they will not recycle the old gas hob.
Overall, a very disappointing service from DID Electrical, Cork. I will never purchase anything from them again and will advise my friends and family not to do business with them, ever.

I see DID Electrical has apologised for the poor service, but talk is cheap, and the apology will only be meaningful if DID Electrical take corrective action to eliminate the poor after-sales service standards.
Remember, actions speak louder than words.

I have been trying to engage with DID Lucan in relation to a washer dryer that I bought in 2023 that has developed a leak. Apparantly the part needed for repair is obsolete. My understanding is that even though the initial warranty has expired I have consumer rights that supersede this warranty. Despite calling to the store in person and sending emails and phoning DID Lucan have not been helpful. I am disappointed as I like to support local stores but won’t shop here again if they continue to ignore me.

Ordered for next-day delivery. Never arrived. Called 4 times over a week. Got hung up on once. Staff kept promising callbacks with updates—none came. Poor service, zero accountability.

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to eoin and his team in limerick they have all gone above and beyond to provide me with a new replacement tv there efforts and team work was excellent 👏 👍 I'd highly recommend anyone shopping for appliances to use dids they will look after everyone very very well. Again a huge thanks and appreciation I wish there stores all future success and all there teams well done everyone and thanks again to everyone 😀 😊

The first delivery was cancelled at the last minute. Rescheduled for a few days later, but two items out of 4 had to be returned as they were damaged.

This is the second time I've made an order online where the item is in stock in another store or warehouse and getting delivered to local store for pick-up where the item hasn't been dispatched. I ordered on a Monday, told the deliveries come on certain days during the week, went to the store on Friday where the staff checked the system, said it'll be faster to change order to home delivery at this point. So the item is now coming from a store that's only 40 mins away. 7 days later let's hope it arrives this week. Sort your online orders and deliveries out.
