Maui Motorhome Rentals - Darwin Arvostelua 

Customer service when we were on the road was excellent and very timely and helpful with solutions for issues. Service at the Darwin centre could have been improved with more staff capacity and shorter wait times.

We collected our vehicle (Maui Beach4). The fridge had not been pre-cooled. The person showing us through the vehicle told us the fridge was gas operated. It did not cool for 2days.
When we tried to make the bed
1. the cushions didn't fit the space, and
2. the first sheet had a large hole in the middle.
3. the pillows are thin and soft, causing neck pain.
There were no plates or bowls, and wine glasses were rolling around in a drawer (1 broken) with no protection.
The bottom drawer below the sink had a broken catch, so couldn't be locked closed.
There was 1/2 a tea-towel - one had been ripped in half.
There were 2 saucepans, but only one with a lid.
Explanation re the cooktop said to use a match if the ignition didn't work, but there was no gas lighter or matches.
The Vehicle Use Guide had incorrect information re operating the fridge. Despite being told it was a gas fridge, the info sheet says it is 12V battery powered. The fridge needed constant attention to get it working at all.
There is only one battery, which did not seemed to be charged when we got the vehicle.
We lost a lot if food due to the non-functioning fridge, and had to alter plans to stay in National Parks because nothing worked without 240V.
One seriously spoiled holiday.
Have hired vans in NZ and never needed to look at the fridge apart from taking food in and out.

Maui Ultima Plus Mercedes Sprinter van makes a great motorhome. They are easy to drive, responsive and economical to run. This is the second one we have rented. Unfortunately this latest one was a bit shabby and hadn’t been prepared well with some faults and issues that caused some concern during the journey.

Short but sweet

The motor home was perfect for our holiday. It had everything we needed and worked well. The staff at THL were very responsive with any pre-holiday changes and the crew at the pick up/drop off were very helpful and made the experience easy. We are now looking at another Maui motor home holiday on the back of this trip. Thanks.

Very smooth rental experience. Van was great and had many little extras that were very useful.

We loved the van we got and it was our first time renting a motor home . It was comfortable and almost new . The unfortunate thing about it rental is that we paid extra for chairs and washing line and bedding etc . We got out into the national parks and had no chairs , no table or clothes line so if we wanted to sit outside it needed to be on the ground . . The van should have been checked properly before we received it and it hadn’t been cleaned properly either . The girl offered to get someone to clean it before we left but we had already been waiting so long I told her not to worry about it and I would clean it . . When reporting the chairs missing from the rental they suggested that I go and buy 2 chairs and a new table and o would be reimbursed. Problem being there was no where to buy anything.
I would definitely hire one again as we loved that type of transportation instead or our caravan . .
If we had all the equipment that we paid for I would definitely give it 5 stars

Great experience from picking up the vehicle to drop off. Front of house crew took very good care of me and explained everything I needed to know about the vehicle and how everything works, both inside and outside

You changed the terms and conditions after I booked but before I picked up the van. The van was therefore useless to me and the staff in the shop and head office were arrogant and unhelpful to my problem. Would never use Maui again and have advised many others not too as well.
