It is difficult to convey the depth of our appreciation for the sensitive, empathic and professional service provided by Karen. It really was a privilege to be part of Mia’s beautiful ending in the hands of a professional - sad, of course, but quickly followed by feelings of relief…that we’d done the right thing, at the right time and that our hopes for how it would happen at home were exceeded.

Monty was wary of the veterinary surgery. Though the vets who treated him were very caring, he associated the building with experiences he didn't like. We didn't want the last moments of his life to be anxious, worrying or fearful moments so we asked The House Vet to oversee Monty's passing and it was absolutely the right choice. The House Vet's calm and gentle manner meant Monty spent his last moments relaxed and unafraid in his home. Every step was made clear to us. There was no rush. The House Vet moved at our pace. Monty's passing was as comfortable and peaceful as we had wished. Allowing him to pass gently in the surroundings he knew best helped us cope with this terribly sad event. To anybody who wishes to do the same for a beloved pet, I would wholeheartedly recommend the House Vet as the ideal person to invite into your home.

We were utterly devastated at the thought of parting with our adored dog Lilly, but from the very first contact, Karen offered a sense of calm and reassurance that we didn’t realise we needed.

During one of the most heart-wrenching decisions, Karen was informative, compassionate, and empathetic from the outset. She was inquisitive in all the right ways, ensuring she understood not just Lilly’s needs, but ours as a family. She took great care in explaining every part of the process in clear, thoughtful detail, which gave us both confidence and comfort at a time when emotions were running high.

What could have been a day defined solely by anxiety and heartbreak, was transformed into something far more peaceful and manageable. Karen and Sian’s calm demeanour, paired with their clear communication, allowed us to navigate this experience at our own pace, within the familiarity of our home. They created an environment where we felt supported and fully informed throughout—something we will always be deeply grateful for.

Together they brought a level of kindness and professionalism that went far beyond what we could have hoped for and their care was respectful of the bond we shared with Lilly.

We have taken great comfort in the way this process was carried out and we truly believe this is entirely due to the exceptional service Karen and Sian provided. Their unwavering commitment to doing what is right for both Lilly and our family leaves us forever, grateful.

Letting my beautiful cat Elsie go to sleep was the hardest decision I have ever had to make - thanks for helping me to realise that it was the kindest thing to do and the reassurance you gave me throughout. I could not have asked for a better passing for our girl and although we are all still devastated by her loss the way it was happened does provide me with some comfort - thank you, we are forever grateful
