We have been in business for more than 15 years now and sent paints to hundreds of thousands of customers in that time, so it is always very upsetting when a customer feels the need to vent their frustration in this way. Don’t bother!
Similar to everyone else. Don’t be drawn in by the discount. Our order took 15 working days (not including Saturdays) to arrive. Emailed a few times to chase up, kept being told it would be dispatched in a few days. When it became obvious it wasn’t going to arrive on time I asked if we could cancel the order (as it still hadn’t been dispatched at that point) and what the refund options were - no response. Ultimately we ended up paying twice as had to buy the paint from elsewhere. Avoid! Not worth the discount!

We would normally expect to have delivered within the 10 days, but leading upto Christmas is always extremeley busy. Sincere apologies about. I can also see that we replied to your initial enquiry giving you details on your order, but can't see any emails you have sent asking for us to cancel the order otherwise we would have advised accordingly. The delivery came within the expected timescale (9 working days), and all communication with Steven was dealt with promptly and clearly. The only suggestion I'd have is to find a way of acknowlede orders by email, which I think customers would find reassuring.

Also, just to clarify, we send a confirmation/acknowledgement email once an order is placed and a further email once the paint has been shipped. I would ask all customers to check spam/junk folders if they don't receive. We also reply to all customer emails, usually within 4 hours or receipt to try and keep updated along the way.

I will be opening up an investigation with my bank and also have the right to cancel my order and full refund
I will also contact trading standards
Prime paint you should not be operating at you do not meet your deadlines and offer poor communication options

Just to confirm, I have cancelled and refunded the order now for you.
Sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
However, I would like to point out the following:
In regards to the delivery, we shipped the order exactly when we stated, ie on the 25th November (which would have meant delivery within our standard 10 working days). DPD have not given you the correct information saying they don’t have the package. This happens from time to time, when they do not scan the package correctly or indeed at all during either the drop-off at the depot or collection by the local driver.
This can sometimes lead to mis-communication when it comes to receiving information via the DPD app and leads us to contact them and open an investigation and/or organise a full replacement or refund, which we have obviously done.
We don’t have a Facebook, Insta, telco or any other forms of social media… this is not because we don’t want any, but because we just don’t have the resources to maintain to any decent level.
We offer our customers the best possible prices online, but with longer lead times than popping down to your local stockist. We are simply a different point of contact if our customers can wait a few days longer.
So, again please accept our apologies but could I kindly ask you to consider your actions in future before making rash statements about companies. It’s very distressing to receive such hateful comments. It really is.

DO NOT USE!!! This is a scam website - do not trust the other reviews that give 5 stars. We ordered paint 3 weeks ago and it still hasn’t arrived!! I have had two responses from Steven saying that the paint will be here last Saturday or Tuesday this week and when you track on Shopify it says that it hasn’t even been shipped yet! This has hugely delayed our work. We accounted for the 10 working days but this is not good enough. We are not sure how we will get our money back as we have had to shop elsewhere now for the paint as no one replies and there is no contact number. We will be reporting to trading standards. So unhappy!!

We emailed you on many, many occasions updating you on your order and giving you as much information as possible each time. You are also fully aware, we did not receive any notification in regards to cancelling the order until 25 minutes before the paint was due to arrive with you via DPD. Unfortunately, once the paint has been shipped, we can't cancel the order.

Waited the 10 working days as stated, contacted the company and they advised would be shipped either working day 13 or 14 so would arrive day 14 or 15, three weeks waiting, tried to cancel the order but they didn’t reply. Not the best at all, also not sure if real paint as stated no refunds as paint mixed to order 🤷♀️. Won’t use again

I've checked your order and can confirm the paint was delivered and signed for a couple of days ago now. We only sell genuine Farrow and Ball paint and use one of their state of the art in-can tinting machines for orders... this is the same as the factory in Dorset, and all major stockists have one of these machines to help fulfill orders. However, Farrow and Ball have had stock issues with some finishes in the last few weeks which have lead to delays in certain colours/finishes/sizes. The Dead Flat finish is one of these paints affected. We have emailed all customers whose orders have had longer than standard delivery times (yourself included) to try and keep our customers well informed, but I am not sure you have received our correspondence. However, we would like to point out that although we aim to deliver paint within our specified times. Due to cirmumstances beyond our control, it is not possible to do this every time and we advise customers who are in need of orders in a hurry or have a deadline to meet, to actually order elsewhere. We are simply trying to offer our customers the paint they love at the best price available anywhere in the UK (which we do very happily). Every customer has to agree to these terms and conditions before placing an order. All our delivery details are also cleary marked on every website page at the bottom.

Very pleased with the service. The website clearly states in several places that delivery takes 10 days. I factored into this into my ordering and it arrived on Day 10. Steven was extremely helpful in the admin department. Would definitely buy from again.

Cheap paint but slow delivery - a false ecomomy?
Sorry primepaint - only 3 stars. This business certainly succeeds in its primary aim - to supply premium paint products at discounts unobtainable elsewhere. But it comes at a price which is not readily apparent when you order - your paint may take several weeks to arrive, and you will have no ETA in the meantime to allow you to plan the timing of your painting project. Prime paint will say that they make it clear that they aim to deliver within 10 working days of your order. But I certainly missed this vital info when ordering - and it simply is not flagged prominently enough when you order. But worse, the 10 days is an aim not a guarantee. I ordered 2nd October, and apparently my paint is scheduled to arrive on 18th October - outside the 10 day window. In future I will be happy to pay full whack and have my paint when I want it. Its a false economy to save a few quid on the paint and then mess your painter around over start times.
Primepaint if you want 5 star reviews a couple of tips. 1/. Make the delivery delay crystal clear to your customers before they place an order. 2/. Within a couple of days of order try to provide your customers with an ETA. 3/. Make customer contact far easier - your site provides no readily accessible contact details.

Excellent customer service with added flexibility
Excellent customer service with added flexibility. Placed the order, realised I had forgotten something a couple of days later and Steve and the team were brilliant! Added the extra item and refunded the extra P&P. They clearly state 10 day delivery time and I was ordering in advance so thanks again for your great service and excellent pricing!

On our website, we are very clear about delivery times and actively ask customers to find a local supplier for express or urgent orders, or indeed very small single tin orders like yours where it is really more practical to source locally (if your local supplier has in stock). Your particular order was for an Exterior Eggshell paint that was not readily available to us and this caused the delay in shipping. All of which was relayed to you via email.

It’s been 3 weeks and still no paint or tracking number despite being promised this multiple times. The communication is poor and they have no number for you to call. Avoid if you can!

Genuine, but needs improvement
This is a legitimate company and you do indeed receive your F&B paint with 20% off.
However, it didn't feel like this for the three weeks that I waited for delivery for these reasons:-
- You don't receive a confirmation email with your order (only a text message).
- There are no order updates along the way so once the '10 working day' delivery timeline had passed, I had started to worry.
- It was tricky to contact anyone at the company. No one responded to my query through the contact form. I eventually found an email (which it won't let me add here, it started with 'hello at ...') and got a response there.
For these reasons, I'd potentially use them again but I would place the order on a credit card for peace of mind (ie to feel protected in case of non-receipt).

4 weeks and counting - still no paint delivered
4 weeks and still no paint. I chased each week and prime paint replied with ‘it will be with you by end of the week’ I have finally received a tracking number for delivery, but 5 days later prime paint still haven’t given the paint to the delivery company for them to be able to deliver it! I have no idea if I will ever receive this paint. No number to call prime paint only email. The delay and having to chase, and false promises of it being with me by the end of the week has not been worth any discount.

The order process is easy and whilst the delivery times are long, that is made clear on the website and it is a small price to pay for the 20% discount on F&B. One of my paint cans did get lost in the post, but Primepaint have ordered me a replacement. The communication via email was responsive which I found nice. No waiting hours for a response! I have just placed another order. I debated about paying the extra somewhere else and getting it quicker, but I am not in a rush so it makes sense to get the discount.

First order with Prime Paint with an…
First order with Prime Paint with an order value of nearly £500. Then I looked at the three reviews on Trust Pilot and was a little concerned.
Shouldn't have been - paint arrived within 7 working days - very well packaged and arrived safely. The added bonus of saving 20% on F&B paint which is quite a £ saving. Would highly recommend and use again.

Paint arrived damaged and leaking
Paint arrived after ten days and one tin was fine but the other was so damaged that 2/3rds had leaked out. I won't use them again as the delay this caused has cost me more than the money I saved.
