Transparence is the key

When I noticed, to my surprise, that money had been charged from me without my consent — perhaps due to a lack of transparency or clarity on the company's part (I am very sensitive to automatic charges made without approval, so I pay close attention to them... unfortunately) — I immediately contacted the company requesting an explanation. Less than half an hour later, I received a response and an explanation regarding an offer they had presented to me that had not been made clear. I believe that in order to prevent this kind of confusion in the future, the company should simply clarify that an option exists and allow the customer to sign up for it as a conscious choice, rather than what is currently being done — automatically using the details I provided for the first offer. It is a very unpleasant feeling.
That said, I must point out that the company resolved the issue immediately. I am currently awaiting a refund and believe that everything will be sorted out, as the impression I got was that there is someone responsive on the other end. In a time when online scams are rampant, companies have no choice but to be very transparent and honest with their customers, so that those customers return out of genuine choice. Thank you.

There was a small error with the payment, and I thought like most online purchases I would need to go back and forth before they refund the amount but they are genuine and quick in response, my issue was resolved within 30 mins and the refund came through as well.
My experience repeats what others have…
My experience was similar to many others here.
I purchased what was presented primarily as a single course with lifetime access for $9.99. One week later I was charged $29.99 for a monthly subscription that had automatically begun after a 7-day trial period.
After contacting customer service, I was refunded quickly and treated politely throughout. The courses themselves also appear high quality. I want to acknowledge that fairly.
However, my issue is not really about customer service after the fact. It is about the structure of the offer itself.
After further communication with the company, I can now see that the subscription information was technically mentioned during the purchase flow. So this is not a claim that the information was completely absent.
My concern is that there was no clear, separate, explicit opt-in to a recurring monthly subscription. The model appears to rely on passive acceptance: if you do not notice, remember, or cancel within a short timeframe, the subscription begins automatically.
To me, there is an important difference between something being technically disclosed and something being designed around genuinely conscious agreement.
What would feel transparent to me would be:
- a clearly separate opt-in to the subscription,
- a direct confirmation before recurring billing begins,
- and/or a reminder email before the trial converts into a paid monthly charge.
What ultimately led me to leave this review was discovering many other reviews describing the exact same experience. That suggests this is not an isolated misunderstanding, but an ongoing business practice the company is already aware customers frequently find confusing or misleading.
I understand these kinds of funnels are common in online business. Personally, I do not think “common” automatically makes them ethical or aligned.
For me, trust matters more than conversion tactics, especially from brands presenting themselves around themes of harmony, self-development, or authenticity.
I appreciate that my refund was honored quickly. But I still fundamentally disagree with business models that rely on assumed consent, customer inattention, or cancellation after the fact rather than clear and active agreement beforehand.
That is why I am keeping my review at one star.

Watch out for accidental subscription trick
I bought a course from this company which I understood to be lifetime access. I was then shocked to find a week later that they had taken £19.99 for a rolling subscription which I knew nothing about. I contacted their support team and related what had happened. They were extremely quick to correct this and refund my money. I would five them 5 stars for their customer support in refunding my money and cancelling the subscription so swiftly. However I feel this should not have happened in the first place, as I have seen other people have been caught out by this.
Careful: Buying a Course leads to 29,99 Subscription!

Blocked the charge through my bank and reached out to customer service where I got informed that apparently while purchasing the course "I signed up for a subscription". Well first of all - if this is not clear at all that you sign up for a sunscription, that's already bad practice. Second, I did not receive a single piece of information (no email confirmation, no invoice, no nothing) about this alleged subscription, I just saw the booking in my account. That seems super dodgy, what a weird business model. Anyhow, the customer service was helpful and kind.

I bought the course and logged in to eduelle.
A few days later Eduelle took 30$ from my credit card.
Apparently the purchase activated a 7-day TRIAL of full content access subscription.
I contacted the support and they were eager to help.
As stated in their answer, they issued a refund and promoted my membership. Thank you, for considering my complaints.
I like the content of the video course I bought.
It seems they really have a focus on human values and want to promote a healthier way of living.
The companies support channel was optimal.

I asked for a refund on a Sunday morning and they took care of promptly. I was concerned it would get dragged out but all done without fuss.

They responded very quickly to my initial email and kindly explained how the payment today was for one course and I could opt out of the subscription without losing the course.

Following my original review (below), Eduelle support got in touch, immediately refunded the money that was taken for their subscription and, as a gesture of goodwill, extended my access to the Eduelle system. They asked that I consider updating my review here to reflect their recompense, and also stated the following:
"We truly regret that your experience did not meet expectations, particularly regarding the clarity of our subscription and trial terms. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we are actively working on improving transparency and communication to prevent situations like this in the future". Only time will tell if this is really the case, particularly given the number of 1 star reviews on here. No one wants to ruin the reputation of a bona fide company, but many companies base their entire business model on consumer complacency (forgotten subscriptions, unused memberships, etc) and worse still, "subscription traps". I genuinely hope that Eduelle rises above these tactics as I think they offer some really good content. If you're thinking of purchasing anything from Eduelle, please read all of the small print, including the specific links to T&Cs, and if in doubt, reach out to Eduelle support who I am sure will be happy to help.

I agree with the other poor reviews about this company. I thought I was making a one-off payment for unlimited access to a small number of courses. But the purchase process automatically sets up a recurring subscription. So I have also been charged £21.99, exactly 7 days after my first purchase. Having looked again at the very small print at the bottom of the welcome email there is mention of a trial period, but this was not clearly spelled out during the purchase process. Then, when cancelling the subscription through the Eduelle website, they try to keep you from leaving by giving not 1 but 2 reduced offers, ending at £9 per month. If this is the value they place on their content, why charge what they charge in the first place? Very shady practices and I am not at all happy about being conned in this way! I would like a refund of the £21.99 that was taken on 12th April without my consent. Thank you.

After all the frustration, they did go out of their way gor me to resolve the problem.
I have used this company before with no problem. However, in trying to purchase a course I kept getting an error message. After a lot of emails back and forth Eduelle were completely unable to fix their own system problems and had no other solution to give me. I eventually went to the course creators own website and purchased it there instead.
Eduelle are great if you don't have a problem. If you do have a problem, they seem completely unable to solve it.

Eduelle had made an error on my subscription payments. I emailed them with evidence and they addressed it and corrected in immediately within a few hours and refunded me. Really impressed with their honesty and professionalism.

I signed up for the body drumming…
I signed up for the body drumming course which is excellent. I didn't realise that I would be signed up after a few days to a monthly subscription of €29.99 per month. I tried to cancel this on a number of occasions through the Eduelle.com website without success. However, when I emailed support@eduelle they replied immediately, cancelled my subscription and apologised for the glitch in their system. Furthermore, Andreas in their customer care dept emailed me a few days later refunding the €29.99 and gave me a lifetime subscription for any inconvenience I'd experienced. I am very satisfied with how eduelle.com has responded. It's really good when a company listens to a complaint and resolves it speedily. Based on my experience, I heartily recommend them. Issues with payements despite cancellation but excellent customer support
Updated: Since I had issues with repeated attempts to take payments from my account, Eduelle's support team were very responsive. They explained the payment processor had indeed attempted to take payments from me despite my cancellation, although this was not directly insigated by them.
They offered me a gesture of goodwill of lifetime access to their courses and were prompt and understanding with responses.
I amended my review from 1 to 4 stars - as despite this payment issue they did demonstrate good company values and customer care which I think goes a long way.

I purchased the body drumming course which I was happy with, but like a few others did not see the small print that this was also subscribing me to life time access of all their courses through monthly payments. This was more on me for not being diligent enough in reading the small print although it really is fairly hidden - and not in line with their branding as a spiritual and ethical company.
However, after repeated emails to support and cancelling the subscription, attempts at taking payment were still made. I received generic email templates assuring me that no more attempts at taking payments will be made. They were.
This has still not been resolved.
