Poor organisation and hassle.
When you book through this company don’t expect a smooth running holiday.
The day after booking the agent contacted me to say that there were now no places on the Bernina Express, a key part of the holiday. He asked me to book it myself and refunded me with more than I had paid for this element, if I could book it.
I did this but then found that the date was changed on three occasions, hassle to sort it all out over a period of months.
The flights were also changed, a few months afterwards, to times that were much later in the day on both departure and return dates.
Even the lovely cruise wasn’t free of problems but this was no reflection on the Oceania line, who were excellent. Yet again the company changed the pick up transfer time in Venice from 11.00 to much later that day. Thank goodness that one person, Kevin, actually took responsibility and returned the pick up to 11.00 am. If he hadn’t we would haven been waiting for much longer for our taxi to take us to the airport for an evening flight.
Unfortunately, our documentation showed, as did that of other passengers, that we were to be picked up from Venice port. The cruise ship actually docked at the Fursina terminal!
More hassle contacting the taxi firm, they confirmed that they knew that we were to be picked up from Fursina. Sadly, no-one at Cruise2 took the time to let us know that the ship was docking elsewhere or that the taxi company knew about the new arrangements.
As a result there were lots of stressed people trying to understand what was going on and quite a few took taxis from the terminal rather than risk the taxi not collecting them or them missing a connection.
When we booked we, like others we spoke to, were impressed by the five star reviews.
However, in our view organisation was very poor from start to finish. Elements of the holiday were very good but the amount of aggravation cast a cloud over the whole trip.
No-one that we spoke to would consider using Cruise2 again and I can only say that if you do use this company then be aware that things may well not run smoothly.
We expected that things would be well organised, at our age the last thing we need is to spend part of our time trying to resolve problems.
We can only give the company two stars.

I phoned him to ask if he could get us on an earlier train from Venice as I realised that the original train we were due to get got us in Ravenna station quite late regarding us then getting to the cruise ship It would have been quite tight if the train had been delayed .He contacted the suppliers and we got it all amended very quickly.Thanks Sam

Too helpful for words
I dealt with 2 staff members during my booking process. Zack initially and then Kate after I had the paperwork. They couldn't have been more helpful.
Zak was great and creating the perfect holiday after I explained the experience I was looking for, even coming up with additional ideas. He didn't even blink when right at the last minute I asked him to add an additional person, but came up with a perfect solution.
After receiving the paperwork (although this didn't go 100% smoothly), Kate was great at answering all my queries and finding the perfect solution to my concerns.
I only hope the actual holiday is as customer focused.
